Avon Hints and Tips (Part 4)

Well I have had my first practice with Lotus Shield this morning - thought as it was a bit rainy and grey today would be a perfect day to try. I used the shampoo and conditioner too which I thought smelled lovely, although I didn't think the conditioner made my hair as soft as my usual non-avon one. Anyway I blowed dried my hair etc as instructed, and I got some water on it when I brushed my teeth. Instead of the water being absorbed by my hair it actually just sat on the top of it and you could see the little droplets, so first impressions are good. Just need to get caught in a downpour on my lunch to give it the ultimate test though!0

Well the good news - I must be known as the Avon lady at work now cos a lady from the offices caught me earlier and asked if her and her colleague could have a book - so hopefully 2 new customers!
But oh grandad is back in hospital and is even worse this time... Hopefully he'll prove is wrong but it's looking doubtfulAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Morning all, quick question, just had a call from a mate asking to add a nail file to her order that she has seen on the website, but I can't find it anywhere in any of the books!!! Can I order things from the site and somehow get them delivered with my order? Also, is the footworks Tea and Mint range no longer in production (taken over by Cherry), she really wanted that one and again I can't find it (apart from a lotion in the clearance, but she wants the cooling spary).
Thanks in advanceEveryone loves a bargain :beer:0 -

Awww sorry to hear that hon, will keep my fingers crossed that he'll be ok.
Bonus about work though - I wish I worked somewhere big enough to get lots of books out. Only four of us in our office and the other three aren't really interested in Avon (although have sold two of them Lotus Shield moneymakers at not much profit because I wanted rid. Hope it works for them as I did a huge sales pitch)

I do it sometimes; particularly if you have customers, who haven't ordered but like to keep the book for longer. Do make sure you make a very careful note in your Calling Book though - can get a bit complicated particularly if you collect back in with an order before you get your delivery i.e. you'll maybe wonder why their goods haven't come!
I use the 'week off' to prep my next books, giftwrap any freebies I'm giving away for 'highest order' (sometimes I have a few of those), checking/printing off any labels/flyers I need and personally addressing the next order forms. The latter can be a little time-consuming but it automatically tells me where the book/order has to be delivered and I know I'll never have that awful situation of being given an order but without a name and address. (It's also a nice little 'personal touch' too I think.)

Is the nail file the Breast Cancer one? If so it's in the Clearance Catalogue C12 @ £1.50 item no. 25304 If you're not on that campaign yet, could be worth trying Customer Services and see if they'll add it to your order. Being a charity item and something that's been offered on and off for months they may well do it for you.
Sorry, can't help re. the Tea/Mint Footworks but you could also ask Customer Services maybe?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Yes, it's definitely allowed - all forms part of 'Creative Ordering' :T
If you want to back-order something for whatever reason, just click on the campaign no. on the left hand side when inputting an order. It will drop down and the back campaign no. will appear.
If you've already input your order into C11 and want to change it to C10 you'll need to go to 'View Order' i.e. where your order is listed item for item as you input it (as opposed to 'View Subtotal' which groups your order together in categories per the book). Find the item you've input, tick the delete box on the right, then 'Update Order' at the bottom of the page. Then go back to place your order for that item again in whichever campaign it's cheaper or you get the best deal.
Hope that's clear.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

I have just drafted a reply to the question of dropping books and picking up new orders before your delivery arrived, but my answer confused me - never mind anyone else.
I do, or else I wouldn't get round everyone. Basically, my "current" orders are split into two - current orders (which will be in my next delivery) and "new" orders (yet to be ordered).
New orders then move into current, and current moves into past.
It was that last bit which got my brain all in a twist.0
