Yay, picked up more orders today and gave one of my reps a helping hand picking up last minute strays.
But, just when I thought things were going too well, (you know that they say if it sounds too good to be true......)
Infection in my belly button from the op last week
Now, damn thing is itching like crazy. Sudocream applied and patience topped up!
Did get more orders though and hoping for a last minute rush tonight and tomorrow.Well, something has to start going right for me this week.
Keep at it ladies. My fergie total is up to 29 sets now from C10.
Woooohooooooooo And as ive sold so many fergies, my ASM said she will give me some Fergie prospecting cards...
Wow LC, you are very successful at this by the looks of your signature. How long have you been doing Avon and how many houses do you canvas each campaign (if you don't mind me asking)

Hi SG
Ive been doing Avon since C5 this year. I do my village and two streets in a neighbouring village. Actually, I put books in less than 300 houses now. Ive had heaps say 'no more' which is fine with me. I do parties too which is when you see a spike in my sales figures (and a drop when Ive not done a party)
I put a book in every house (unless ive been asked not to) every camp. I dont do selective book dropping. My customers know I dont expect them to buy every time, but looking is free and you never know.
Just done another quick tot up and so far C11 Ive just gone over £800 which I am really really pleased with.:D:D:D:D
I do demonstrate Avon products and new lines coming through and am happy for customers to 'borrow' things for a few days or a week to give them a try at home - Ive got some plastic travel bottle and pots from boots, so I just give them some to try before they buy. It also keeps my returns down too. Never sent back more than 6 items at any one time so far:):) Yes, I know, just wait and they will turn.........
But I give each customer 10-15 minutes when I take my deliveries out so that they can try some new bits and pieces if they want to or have a look at the 'real' colours and textures of stuff, some just want to 'touch' the make up, see how big it is etc.
All in all, I treat them, the way I would like to have been treated by an Avon Rep. Long term, it is paying dividends. Needless to say I get asked for donations for local raffles, which is always a good thing, places me in the community and keeps AVON forefront.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -

Wow. What a fab rep you are :T The travel pot idea is great one. Did you do that right from the start, or when you got a few orders from a customer first? Is it from your own demo stock? How much demo stock did you buy at the start? I would love to do the parties but want to get to know the products better first as I don't want to get asked loads of questions I can't answer.Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0 -
sylvergrunge wrote: »Hi fay66, so have you been allocated this territory or are you just doing it on the off chance? If you haven't been allocated it and you do get some orders, will you let your SL know and get them to then allocate the road to you?

I picked up some of my missing books today-a few had been on holiday and some are still away-I got chatting to the neighbours! I had one lovely lady phone me this afternoon to say she had a knee op and wasnt home but her son had brought the book to her from her house(she was staying at sons). She had a £25 order for me! All written our properly so easy to translate over the phone. She is of course-you got it-an ex Avon rep! Picked up a few more orders also and now Im not quite so worried. Not great but over the MOV-Im at £93 now and one and a half roads to go. Given my cousin 2 books for her and her neighbour-I told her I really need to top up my order! Id love to get to the higher sales order-that would be great-so its my next aim now. I dont really want to order much myself-I could already throw a party with what Ive got!
I found 2 bottles of Pur Blanca the other day Id forgotten about-and that is as a customer-not a rep as this will be my first order.
Im giving out my own mobile number-as I say who I am on the back of the brochure and the slip Ive put in Ive got my standard message on the answerphone saying who I am-no need to say Im Avon.
Just for old times sake I bought some Eau Givree from ebay as I was missing it. Goodness knows how old it is but its fine!
Got to make sure I dont spend my earnings on anything unecessary. Going to stick with 30 books again I think-just do 2 drops per week-it will taper off as I sort out who my customers are. One house I went to tonight had no letterbox! I took a chance and laid the book by the front door. Left a couple of books until Friday for some had only just got back from hols. I want to choose a handful of samples but unsure which will be most useful. Any ideas?
Dropped off my remaining books after the gym tonight-wet hair but nobody saw me(I hope) determined they were going out tonight and getting colleccted on Friday.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

No started about two months ago with the travel pot things. I do buy a couple of demo items every camp, it varies from shampoo to mascara. I have built up my collection through demo and creative ordering.
Parties are dead easy, just let them play with all your stuff. Most of us know how lippy's and eyeshadows work, creams, well that does come with reading the brochure and trying them yourself at home.
Travel bottles are great for shower gel and shampoo and bubble bath, saves you carrying large heavy items. Just label them and let your customers have a sniff. Mostly they would like to know what they smell like.
Just ask away, never too many questions:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -

I concentrated on the fragrance samples to begin with. Hard for new customers to buy without trying on their own skin. The fragranced pages are just not the same.
Just dont go mad on your first order! You might want to consider geting the reps bag at £10 which comes with a good varied sample pack.
The deal is that if you order it within your first two orders, you get it at £10 with samples included. You are invoiced nothing with the bag, then £5 in the following camp and £5 in camp after that. So its good value and really really handy. Also ace for keeping your demo items in for customers to see.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
Checked my order online today ready for delivery on friday and 8 flip flops arent coming and 2 pedometers! I dont understand why they do a big offer and dont stock up on items. silly avon!0

If items dont arrive and it takes you under your MOV as a result-do you then get no comission? Same goes-if you return items and then become under the MOV as a result?Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0
