Right, Sales leader bloke has sent me a snotty email and copied in my ASM saying i was out of order etc... not even going into on here cos it made me cry and i well up just even thinking about it.. has included ONE order from a road that isnt even in my territory to "prove" he wasnt after orders etc.. says my note i handed out made avon look unproffessinoal etc... blah blah.... ASM emailed me seperately saying shes allocated him territory away from me to canvass and hopes its all sorted!
Im livid.... between that and everything else in the past few weeks i actually AM considering throwing in the towel!! AVONs took over my life and im sick of it!! Havent even put my regulars books out yet and i usually do them on a saturday.
Im totally fed up of being treated like something people have stood in cos im "just" the avon girl... so they assume i have no life, no common sense and no knowledge! I have customers speak to me like im thick and patronise me , asm only bothers if i contact HER with a problem and the odd group email telling us all who is in the top 20.... ive got 5 orders sat at home for people who wont have the money till next campaign.... i still have that reps £150 worth of orders too.... cos afterall Jo wont care cos she never says no to anyone! Sick of it all.
Wish i could take a few weeks off and see how i feel then.. but of course i cant cos if i dont work i cant pay my bills. No holiday pay here or anyone to pick up the slack.
Sorry guys for being so negative but avon has had me in tears too many times lately and i really wonder why i bother... If i worked in a normal job least i could leave it at work when it stressed me out!
Am still catching up, J, but..... come on. He may be a SL and your ASM is obviously employed by Avon but.....
According to your signature you achieved PC and well done you. From what I gather that makes you pretty special and Avon will deffo NOT be wanting to lose you. In my experience ASM's sometimes don't appreciate your worth so take a deep breath. If you're not getting the support you need from your ASM then go higher to the DSM.
Stand your ground, girl! (And take B6 - 100mg a day - can't harm and usually helps with the ups and downs of being a lady.)Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

If so, what I paid for is looking quite 'sad' compared to the freebies....... Something not quite right there methinks! Or have I got it the wrong way round?
Strangely, they sent me 20 on presentation cards with C10 order. But they mention in HT that you get 5 free samples in your C11 order (confused icon here)? Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

I'd say the less words the better.
Thanks MarsdenCuckoo. It's great to hear what everyone else does. I suppose if you put too much writing people just wont bother to read so will try to keep it short.
Just wondering. Are there any other reps/SLs here from or local to Exeter? :think:Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0 -

See thats the thing... £7.50 an hour is alot to me!
Due to my limited experiance and part time work in the area i can only really get minimum wage retail jobs. Which after tax and bus fare works out at roughly £2.70-£3 an hour. So avon on a whole at £4-5 an hour works out a good deal... just fed up of it.
Ignore me... seriously... i have no where else to vent! I know im lucky. just had a bad few weeks.
J, if you're managing £3 an hour doing Avon then you're doing reeeealllly well! I wouldn't even bother quantifying it (would be far too depressing).
The advantages to me, however, are that:
* I get my own products at discounted prices (sometimes free after any creative ordering opportunities)
* I get to try new products (and return them if I don't like them) at no cost to myself - would never dreamt of trying a bronzer rather than a blusher but now I've realised it's much more natural looking
* I get access to 'end of ranges' delivered to my door (and collected again - all free - if I don't want them) so lots of cheap pressies
* I get to meet lots of ladies (and sometimes men) in the area so have made lots of new acquaintances (and in some cases friends)
* And, along the way, I do make a 'few bob' (as well as getting some exercise, which I keep telling myself is good for me)
Yes, it's a pain when people are not in and am seriously now thinking of adopting a different delivery method i.e. more in tune with Betterware. I tend to try and deliver orders as soon as they arrive but think I may start to put out the next book with a note saying that their order has arrived (£xx.00) and I'll deliver on ........ day between ....am/pm and will gladly collect their next order at the same time.
Unbelievably, I tried to deliver an order today at an appointed time (well, almost ) and got locked in a building - they left the front door open, which I closed behind me (they weren't in) and I couldn't get back out.... Seriously, didn't think I was the panicky type but that sort of changed today....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

You're very welcome. I often wonder about the offers that reps list. My customers don't even tend to keep the samples I include with their offers so am guessing they're a bit tight on time (or have a short attention span!)

I had never seen an Avon brochure before I considered becoming a rep. I was surprised at the range of products in it. Having just started as SL I have found quite a few people who have seen Avon brochures in the past and many of them have been surprised by some of the stuff that is now included. So I wouldn't say that a brochure isn't needed.
I haven't yet done any expired brochure drops so no idea how effective they are as a means of recruiting. However I have kept all my old books but plan to get details of vacant territory from ASMs rather than dropping them on an existing rep's patch.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
JulieJesta wrote: »Avoners,
A bit of advice please. I've quit but i'm doing one last order as 2 F&F asked for things. Those 2 orders are nearly £50, which is under mov so no commison, but if i reach mov (78?) i'd get commison? so was going to order stuff for home use, shampoo, shower gels etc.
Thing is, ii have returns to do- as i have been unable to reach certain customers. does this mean i wont have 78 in sales at all, and wont earn commison? If so, is there another way?
THanks very much
Provided you hit MOV/HOV then your invoice will include the discount on your products. If you then choose (or have) to return something (your customers ordered but didn't like) then they can hardly claw the discount back, eh?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Think, as you say, it's where you live. They will have heard of Avon but maybe not seen a book for a while.
Am in a small Devon town, which is supposedly overrun with Avon reps and there's very little free territory. Avon have, however, sent me 4 leads this year because people want a book and don't have a rep. Am guessing (could be wrong) that people start, thinking it will be easy, and then drop it when they find it's not what they expected. Doesn't do Avon or more dedicated reps any favours as in my experience you have to do a few drops to new customers before they trust you will come back.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
