I want to have a rant about my ASM.
She has been accessing my Reps accounts, the ones in her area, as I have some out of area, and requesting single brochures or in one Rep's case C10 books.
I am fuming as one is on maternity leave, and she has not replied to email requests from me about this will affect this rep's account and her territory. Another one has left Avon but never officially told me. She moved and never gave me her new address and ignored every text, call, voicemail, visit to her old house, etc I made. But she has requested a book per campaign on this account! Who is going to pay for them?
I know she sent us an email saying that we must clear all outstanding balances and put regular ontime orders as it reflects on her if we are not doing this, but she will lose me the few reps I have if she keeps doing this!
I have heard people that know her complain about her too, one wanted to sign up and every appointment that was made she failed to keep.
I have contacted my SL and am waiting for a response to my email but so not happy about this. So tempted to just recruit all out of area reps from now on so she can't do this anymore. The other ASM's for my out of area sign ups don't do this and on expired accounts!
What do you mean by requesting single brochures?Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

She goes into their accounts and orders Customer Order forms which generates an automatic request for a single brochure.
If you don't order any books when placing an order for anything, free or otherwise, Avon will automatically send you a single avon book for the next campaign.0 -

Oh that's a bit strange. So ASMs can get into your orders then? How do they know the passwords?Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

ASM and SL can access the accounts of people within their teams. We have an option on our access that allows us to see what you are ordering, etc. We use this to check if our teams are putting orders in on time, have outstanding balances, etc. Sometimes if they request it, I look at my team's to see if they can do creative ordering before they submit,or if they have a query on their account, I can look at what has occurred to advise them, rather than having to visit and looking at it at their homes.
But SL's aren't allowed to do anything on a Rep's account without written permission. I remember Lozza saying she had heard of instances where written permission was not obtained and the SL's got into a lot of trouble.
An instance when I would allow my SL to access my account to place an order, is like when I had no internet access at home and needed to submit my order, I asked my SL to go into my account and place an order for the items I had texted her.0 -

Complain directly to her boss and that should get it investigated - that behaviour isn't on and needs to be dealt with. If you aren't sure of the dsm for their area, you can ask on flissys (or pm me and I'll ask) someone will know.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

So is driving and/or having a car essential for Sales Leadership? Read this on someone's website.0

That's what I thought Lozza, but wondered if I was being overdramatic.
Just one of my Reps is on the verge of giving in anyway, she has too much going on in her private life and I have just being let her get on with it, not putting pressure on her and offered some of my C9 brochures as I have loads if she wanted them. If she wasn't asked if she wanted to order C10 books and they have just been ordered, it is me who is going to get the short end, and will lose this rep.0 -
Don't be afraid of asms - I've recently had to go to an asms boss over a reps territory issues - we have to protect our reps, even if they would leave anyway, as how asms behave at times is shocking. I've also complained about my own asm in the past, which has actually lead to her replying to my emails, as she knows I'll only tell the dsm if not, which would get her into trouble. Asms have to respond to emails within 48 working hours (obviously not including weekends or bank holidays) unless of course they are on leave/sick. They are paid to do a job, and they should do it. And that includes not using reps accounts fraudulenty in order to hit their own targets. Don't be afraid to take it further, avon won't close your account over it, I've had to complain in the past and it hasn't affected anything. So long as you run your business correctly - sign up face to face, paying your account on time etc, then nothing bad will happen.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
