Quick query: got a potential new customer, who wants some 'loose face powder' (apparently she used to buy it from her daughter when she did Avon 'a while ago'). Am I right in thinking that the only loose powder is the Minerals one?

You are correct - the only other powders are the pressed versions

Thanks, thought as much. Can you also give me a clue please (I don't wear a lot of make-up although am learning  ) - what's the advantage of a loose powder over the 'solid' kind?

Not that I wear much make up either lol, but I wear a bit of powder now and again, and I'd always thought it was more personal choice. I wouldn't like to use a loose powder myself as I'd think I'd make a mess everywhere lol!

My thoughts too..... Will maybe ask her why she prefers a loose powder. (Sometimes the honesty of a "I know nothing" approach works!;))

Sorry, a bit of a noob question, but with the Fergie special offer in HT (Fergie perfume, spray and lotion, plus tester vial. If you have to send some back because they haven't sold, do you have to return the tester vial as well?

Why not keep hold of the perfum, its in C11 and C12 books

Yes, but the Minerals one is a loose powder foundation in its own right, not the kind of loose 'setting' powder I think that the customer has in mind.

Sorry, reading up instead of down.

Loose powder gives a lighter finish and doesnt look so caked on. Compact powders do largely the same job, but you only need a fraction of powder and really lightly apply with the compact pad.
Loose did make a mess if you were already dressed to go out and diddnt have a hairdressers cape on to cover your clothes. My mum always had a dressing gown covered in the stuff, as she used that to protect her clothes.

Suppose you could order a few for her to try as they dont do samples of this.

Oh I'm not planning on returning it straight away, I just wanted to check before giving out the vials along with the samples I bought. If I give them all out I don't want to be lumbered.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao
