Avon Hints and Tips (Part 4)

Hi
Hope this is the right place to ask this question, if not i'm sorry, just had the area sales manager come round to start me as an Avon rep(really excited and keen to start) she has left the books, so I can start taking orders, but have just read through all the forms and it says that I will be credit checked(my credit is not brilliant hence wanting to do avon to help pay the bills) now i'm wondering do I forge ahead and take orders or do I wait. I'm really starting to feel quite panicked. Any advice would really be appreciated.
As Lozza says, don't worry. Avon do a basic 'points system' check and only if you fail that do they then delve further into a more detailed credit check. Doesn't take long until you/your SL/ASM hear (2 working days or so) so, hopefully, by now you'll have been approved.
Good luck and hope you enjoy doing Avon.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Well done, aureol. 'Customer service' and 'going the extra mile' generally win people over in the end. Have also mentioned to certain customers that they can order the 'special offer' without the qualifying goods - not always by any means but did it for the digital photo frames.
On another note, we bought some cheap wine recently that we don't like (real 'headache juice') but I have a new customer, who has missed Avon so much that so far she's ordered £40/50 worth in her first few campaigns so this time she got a bottle of wine as her 'congratulations you placed the biggest order in my current campaign' pressie. She was really chuffed :T - said she was only going to have a couple of glasses but finished the bottle (and got the headache!) so that's another happy customer.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Have decided to make some postcards to stick the Fergie samples I ordered to, and have found that Jessops currently have an offer on for 75 FREE 6"x4" prints, AND if you collect from store it's free delivery. Don't know if it's for 'brand new customers only' but worth a look for some free glossy postcards.
The code to use at the checkout is 75WELCOME if you're interested. Have used the "Outspoken by Fergie, exclusive to Avon" image from lucyclare.

Do let us know how you get on with the fergie postcards and any sales you get.:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -
Done a morning of prospecting with ASM today and got two appointments for tomorrow and one for monday. Have area meeting on monday am with asm, reps and SL's in area to get to know each other and swap tips.
Started putting my order online and using the creative ordering system have so far ordered:
supershock mascara, Aftersun lotion, Heel softening cream, Nailwear pro nailvarnish, anew foundation all for free and self tan lotion £1, illuminating face pearls £1 and pearl shine £2.
Great way to boost my demo kit and for parties for customers to see and try.
Have a party on 16th and one on 1st June which both fall into C10, so hopefully will be a bumper order! Sold another Fergie set today:T wealth is a state of mind :T0 -

Thanks - I do Tuesday & Wednesday because my OH works away for most of the week so try to keep the rest of the time free so we get some time together without me trying to schedule in my Avon time!!
Have spoken to my ASM and she agrees that a canvas every 3 months would be all she would expect me to do, so am going to concentrate on my new territory for a while and canvas everyone again in 3 camps time. She was really supportive and just said to do whatever I can at the moment (also mentioned that I haven't ordered any extra books yet!!).
Not looking forward to the 2 week camps at Christmas (can't believe I'm dreading that already!!) but expect I'll just order more books to canvas once and do customers the rest of the time.0 -
Well been so busy this week (had the yearly external assessors coming into work today, thankfully it went well!) - forgot to say:
:jOH Grandad came home on Monday :j
Unfortunately he is taking liberties and expecting Gran to wait on him hand and foot, even though she's in her 70's and absolutely shattered......he reckoned he couldn't walk to the toilet.....she was in another room ironing, heard someone moving and went to look - low and behold he was coming out of the toilet!!!! He's got cranky old man syndrome I reckon lol :rotfl:
But at least he's home, and things are sort of "normal" again - they're arguing all the time so nothing has changedAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Don't worry about the two week campaigns - what I did last year was to just give people a brochure in with their order (if they had ordered the previous campaign), if people didn't order the previous campaign then they didn't get a brochure. Meant my sales were lower - but just before Christmas I didn't have enough time what with visiting relatives, shopping, writing cards, wrapping presents etc etc!
Then the following campaign everyone got a book, as that 2 week campaign was in January so I had more time then with it being after Christmas. Just do what you can, even if it means some customers miss a campaign.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Just been out collecting books in!
You know when you just know people are in but just don't answer the door? Well i had loads and loads of those tonight. I think people think im canvassing for them to vote in the election lol.
Never mind - Will just have to go back again tomorrow.''Aim for the moon, because if you miss you will still land amongst the stars''0 -

Did one tonight to catch C9 and hopefully another two (fri and mon) to start of C10 with betterware rep. Not a bad start to the c10.
