I'll probably be just as excited when my order arrives next week. Looking forward to receiving my freebies for my achievements although judging by missythecat's comment they may well forget to send them to me too!

I wouldn't worry inaminute - it's probably just me. I've had one of those weeks - got caught by police for driving down a bus lane and given a fixed penalty, and then got caught doing something silly at work. It's probably karma! :rotfl:
  • Hello everyone

I placed my 2nd order this week and decided to order 1 of their boxes that cost £30 for 25 items but on opening the box a fair few irems are broken and unsellable! I've had a look online and it doesn't give me the option to return or replace it!
Does anyone know how I'd go about getting a refund or replacement for it as I can't sell most of it?

    Hi marshmallow

sorry to hear about the box - email customer services through the website, explaining what has happened, they will credit your account for you and you will see it come up on your account as code 29 usually, and then return with the courier on the the next order. Or if you want a replacement tell them that instead. But you need to email them.

    Hi,
Not sure if you can help. I did avon some time ago. Now I am being made redundant in 3 months and I need to start budgeting.
I am a single mum and I was thinking of getting self employed. Can AVON be considered as self-employment and can I make it 16 hrs a week so that I can claim tax credits? I have a 2 year old and I am a single mum. I need to write up my doctorate this coming year and I seriously need to be able to put my little one into a nursery so that I can concentrate on my writing. I can't put her in a nursery if I don't have tax credits...

    Would be grateful for suggestions.

    Many thanks

    Hi Guys,

A quick question about ordering online (apologies for this but it's the first time I'm doing it!).

I was told by my ASM when she signed me up that it's easier to put orders online as I recieve them as it saves spending hours one night doing them all in one go. I thought I'd give this a go but after putting all the items on the order, the final box to click says "send order to avon". If I click this will that order then be un-editable? Or can I still come back to it and add more items from new orders as I get them? Am worried I'll end up paying postage for 'additional orders'!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Once you have saved items you can leave the site altogether and it will keep your order there til you hit the send to avon button (do this when all orders are in).

Just be aware of multi-buy offers in current/back brochures where you may be able to cobble together several orders and buy cheaper. I spend the time one evening writing all the items I am ordering on a sheet, current and previous campaign. That way I can see what multiple purchases I have and order from the cheapest brochure.

    Hi Gazella

doing Avon is classed as being self employed. The first post on the first page explains about this.

Yes you can register as self employed if you start doing Avon, and as long as you are working 16 hours or more, you can contact Tax Credits, explain the amount of hours you work, your predicted income for the year, and you may qualify for working tax credits and assistance with childcare costs.

    Good luck.

Had the funniest return last night......a lady who loves perfume, and little black dress is her favourite, returned a bottle of little black dress....thought it was odd.....she said look at the bottle - everything is as normal, except there is no tube from the sprayer into the bottle - so it cannot possibly spray any perfume! It hasn't fallen off, theres no way to open the top to add your own tube to it - its just an unuseable bottle of perfume! Luckily the lady thought it was funny to!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

    Hia

I know that everyone's circumstances are different. But I am also a single mum, with two kids. I started as a rep in feb and explained to my asm that I wanted a very large area to cover to get 16 hours a week. I got it!
I duly registered as self employed, contacted WFTC and that is fine.

Their only concern is that you do work. Not for whom. They will ask you how much PROFIT you expect to make from your business. I estimated £50 a week (way too high) but I still got a good whack from them.

Now doing sales leadership and working over 30 hours a week. I also get the 30 hour extra payment from them too.

you will be fine. Just make sure that you get the territory to justify your 16 hours.

    Good luck with Avon.
