It's something to do with engines using more fuel on manoeuvering when the engine is cold. Driving out = 1 movement and Reversing = 2.

I'd stay away from black cars, my brother has one and a day or so after him cleaning it, it looks like it needs another wash! Thankfully he's a sad case and really like washing his car (My parents had to ban him from using the hose it was getting that bad, seriously) I wanted a black clio but got the dark blue instead - still needs washing fairly often but no where near as bad. I take Greg to the nice Italian people down my road who clean and shine him for £5 though I is boosting my local economy!

Just had my lunch. A cup-a-soup and some twitter readings! (they feed me gossip-ly)

Hoping for a good week next week, money wise anyways. OH gets paid a next Friday too. This is the first month in ages he hasn't had to borrow off his Mum, admittedly he's taken some of my money but it's the fact it wasn't his Mothers that matters!

My first car was a black Saxo called Suzy... I loved her so much but she never looked clean. I still miss her; I had to get rid as she was getting a bit unreliable and bits kept falling off on motorways but I've not bonded with another car since!

Interesting about the eco parking, I never knew that! Not that it'll make much difference TBH, I know all about the importance of driving with properly filled tyres and mine have been low for ages, I always forget to pump them up and when I do remember I have no change for the machine!

All the garages around me have 'free air'. When all the signs started going up I thought people were just tryna be funny before it clicked

Also paid £13.50 into my mobile account, another £5 or so next week and then that's Aprils bill paid Paid Marchs early too, so no DD coming out of my bank at all this month.

Checked my clubcard balance and I have enough for 1 Drayton Manor ticket :j Going to use the recycle center tomorrow, have a near overflowing bag for it. Stealing OHs card to use though as I think his is at about 660 so we only need another 90 points on his card for the other ticket. And that's a 'free' day out sorted. Minus food!

Signing up to Lovefilm today, Quidco are offering £25 cashback until the end of this weekend and they're doing a 2 months for the price of 1 too. Was going to sign up to it anyways, when it was £15 cashback and 2 weeks free so this is a nice bonus!

I think my OH is ill. I asked him where he wanted to go for tea tonight and he said 'Oh, we can just get something to cook at home' = my first ':eek:' then when I asked him if he was sure he said 'Well, unless you want to go spending £XX for food we can cook at home for £XX' = my second ':eek:' Have Easties, Fantastic Four and Facejacker to watch tonight too. So should be a pretty cheap night if I can resist the £2 supermarket DVDs!

Okie Pokie - Signed up to LoveFilm and put a bunch of DVDs on the list. Actually 5 months worth as we're on the 4 a month package. Fingers crossed I get the cashback!

While I was on Quidco I reminded myself I should finally get that £50 from Orange next Friday. Now I just need to figure out - iPod or iPad, iPod or iPad?

With the forum down this morning I've been plodding the craftblogs. Now have a massive itch for it! So I've decided to try and get back into sewing, I used to be pretty good at reworking clothes to make them look all different, pretty and new. Already have a couple ideas in my head for 2 tops and a skirt. Plus an idea for a bag and a candle, but will mean a little Charity/Craft shop hunt for fabric ect tomorrow morning. But I'm excited, and that's what matters! Have the day to myself too, bar a trip to Tescos so I can throw myself into it.

What IS an iPad? I thought it was just your cute word for an iPod and now I feel outdated!

Hurrah for the sewing! I was saying to Dinah the other night I'd love to take a day off work just to sew, but whenever I take a day, OH takes one too so we can do something. I'd feel bad taking a day off and not telling him - way too mean!

Just tell him you're taking X date off to do some sewing. And unless he wants to be a model he shouldn't book the day off too

LOL, that's my problem too Tete, OH gets in my way without meaning to! And I'm feeling a little left-out sewing wise! I wish I could up-cycle clothes but I'm useless!

An iPad is a mix between an iPod touch and a tablet laptop thingy. About the size of a book and you can watch films, browse the internet, listen to music and play with the apps etc. It looks very snazzy but has a snazzy price tag too!

Ah I see, I've never seen them before! Just been debating with colleague and though we like it neither of us know really when we'd use it. It would be good for someone who travels a lot ... what's the price tag???

The one I want is $629 but they start from $499 and go up to $829. All really depends on how much they cost over here to if I get one or not. Like, the Macbook costs $999 which = £650 but from the UK it costs £816. So I can't judge the price just yet.

Going to set myself a limit though, so if it costs more then XX amount I'm not allowed one. Just need to figure that price out

OH and I were saying that about it too, we've got a laptop which is probably more 'us' friendly than the iPad so we'd probably forget to use it! I doubt the battery life will be any good either so it would be a pain to travel with because you'd get halfway through a movie and it'll die! But you'll look cool because it is fab looking!

I think it's going to be about £500 when it's released, that's what they said on TV but I'm not sure.
