Just swept the floor in the end :o Will mop it over the weekend.. at some point.

Got stuff from Tesco for my dinners next week, just things like cup-a-soups and Irish coffee. Can just take lots of fruit with me to snack on during the day. Also got a pair of slouchy grey shoes reduced to £4 from £12. My Mum decided to buy my dinner stuff for me as 'that's what you pay board for' and the boots too as she's been using my car a lot this week. So I put what I would of spent in my car instead.

Decided I really need to go too the bank and have them change my electron to a debit. Starting to get it refused, which is really quite embarrassing! (mainly by ruddy Tescos) Will try and get to the bank on Monday to sort it out. If not it'll have to wait a couple weeks.

Hope you manage to get your card sorted. I remember when I used to have a solo card and get it refused, is a bit embarassing..

    Have a great weekend.

End of weekend update I guess!

Had a really lovely day yesterday, me and OH went to a garden centre in the morning which has loads of little farmer-esq shops in it too, and a jelly belly machine! (the type where you just get whatever flavours you want) so we got a bag of those each - would of shared one but I just wanted cinnamon which OH hates. Was about 20deg when we got home, so sat out in the garden with my Sister a bit before we took the dogs for a long walk in the village one over from ours. Met up with my brother, his girlfriend and her two dogs so we walked them along the river which the doggys (bar my old girl, she's 10 and hates water anyways!) went for a paddle. Grabbed a chinese for tea as it was late when we got back.

Today was completely spendy. Went to the supermarket after my driving lesson to get OH some bits for his dinner, and some toothpaste for me, my brother and sister (although I don't think it's my turn to buy, my sister always forgets!) Put some diesel in OHs car, and lent him some money to buy dinner for the week. Drove me and my Mum over to the city to go to an outlet centre, didn't want to spend anything but ended up getting OH some sandals for when we go camping (I refuse to be seen with him when he's wearing crocs, I mean, my Dad wears crocs!) and bought me and my Mum dinner.

Spent about £60, which leaves me with something like £10 for the week. Which I'm quietly confident I'll be able to move into my laptop account at the end of the week. Have all my food ready for next week, so shouldn't spend there.

Thinking I'll have to wait until next week to sort my bank card out, but I really will get it done!

Not up to much now, just some washing to put away and that's about it. I'm really enjoying my Stephen King book, onto the second story in it now. Thinking I'll finish the second story, get changed (it's cooling down already) and then take the dogs for a walk. Just my dog today though, Trev is a total handful!

Aww sounds like you have had a lovely weekend Cinny :D

Weather has been gorgoeous here aswell. I went for a run this morning and think it has totally exhausted me as i havent done alot else except sitting in the garden reading a book. OH has been at work all day - which is actually a blessing in disguise as it means the weekend hasnt been too spendy and means we should be able to move some more money to the savings - so close to that £1000 mark!

I hope the next week is just as nice weather wise :D although its not so great when we're stuck in work, at least i can admire it from the window!

Sounds like you've both had lovely weekends! Well done on going for a run, Flower, that's very energetic! We got up super early and went to watch the beginning of the first Brighton marathon which was cool. We did lots of clapping then had brunch outside a cafe on the beach and enjoyed the sunshine. Not so spendy, but we did come home via the MAC shop! I desperately needed new foundation and got blusher too - I bought my last one in October 2008 and it's still going so I figure it's good value :D

Flower - I was going to sit in the garden and read today, but it's been way cooler where I am today. Hoping for good weather next week, although I'm stuck inside like you! It's just nice to know it is sunny out there.

Poddle - Yay for MAC! 3 years on one blusher is great though, kind of justifies the cost I think!

Finished my second story, made me cringe in places! I don't know why I've suddenly turned to Stephen King though, the deepest my books normally get is a bit of Marian Keyes!

Jealous!! I LOVE Mac make up :D

Have been eyeing some foundation up on the website for ages - might treat myself when i get paid - will see what the money situation is.

Ooh Stephen King is deep Cinny - i am definitely more of a Marian Keyes person myself - my reading has to be very light and not use up too much brain power :rotfl:

I think the only reason why I'm managing is because they're short stories :o I'm used to easy on the noggin chicklit, or a little bit of Austen! When I was in the Library though I had a total brain freeze when it came to his last name :o I was just looking at the shelves hoping it would jump out at me, all I could think of was Stephen Hawking!! Thankfully after a bit of a wander I found he had his very own shelf in the Sci-Fi bit!

Ooo, you should get the foundation! I only have Mac eye stuff, I'd love to have some face stuff :D Trying to keep everything drugstore atm, cause I know if I go one higher on something the rest will follow. I do need to go get some more concealer in the next couple weeks though, as I'm just about out. And I've been after this for ages (been lusting on the US website!).. and I will have some extra pennies in a fortnight for my overtime this week.. hmm!

Ooh i love benefit aswell! :D

I think you should treat yourself!! Oh always moans at me that i dont have a healthy balance between saving and treating myself. Says with all the extra time we both do we should at least save a bit of the money to treat ourselves - i guess he is right!!

Thing is I know when I get paid I'll just go get Bourjois or something! Will buy myself something pretty though, I'm sure having all those extra hours to do some screen-shopping will turn something up!

My OH is the same, but says I'm either one extreme or the other - I'll either save everything or go and buy everything! Not that he complains when I'm in buying mode and he gets lots of nice stuff :D I think the balance is kinda hard to find though, if you're saving towards something you're really wanting - like moving out - you're willing to cut out so much to get to it. You kind of get a big treat at the end when everything's saved up!
