Hi Cinny - what is Killer, I'm intrigued - is he something cute and fluffy? Let me know how the Whoppee cake thing goes - I've seen them but not even really sure what they are?

Sounds like a good deal on the cinema Birdie, I'd be asking for it too but we both have NUS cards so it's not too bad anyway!

    what is Killer, I'm intrigued

He's our canary, he has anger problems! His real name is Colin, but Rich and me renamed him.

Whoopie Cake went pretty well, I need to make the icing abit stiffer next time, but bar the gloopyness they're nice! Its just like 2 soft biscuits with frosting sandwiching them together. I used this recipe but used Vegetable oil instead if canola - whatever the heck that is! And this is them. They taste nicer than they look!

Oo, yes please Birdie! Sounds like a good deal, and we only tend to go when there's something we really want to see now, so we'll know in advance!
Looking forward to not having the card though, we were getting really lazy last summer and just going to the cinema all the time because it was there and 'free' means this year we'll have to find more exciting stuff to do. Like er.. walking and stuff.

    List for today:
    [STRIKE]Tidy up downstairs
    Clean sides/cupboard doors
    Hoover
    Clean out Killers cage
    Clean Roxies room
Batch of Twinks Biscuits for Grandad bribery[/STRIKE]
1 load of washing & dry

The washing is just about to finish in the machine, so I'm half way there! Also hung a picture in my room - I took my 'floating' shelf down last night as it was slowly coming away from the wall and as my bed is under it I didn't want it to kill me! But the wall behind the fixture is a mess from where my Dad thought he could get away with putting it up with pink grip *rollyeyes*

Wow you're having a productive morning!

Whoopie cakes look really nice but I hate American recipes! What's all-purpose flour? Plain? And everything's in cups! Gah!

I made some cookie dough truffles at the weekend using a US recipe, it was a nightmare! In the end I guessed a lot as it was far too gloopy, and my final product didn't resemble the original recipe at all! Need to put that on the blog today. I miss baking :(

I make pumpkin cake using a US recipe and I agree, they're a nightmare! I just use a mug for the 'cups' and guessed that All Purpose flour was plain! And packed brown sugar...eh? Demerera?! Stupid American people don't know how to bake properly!

You have been productive Cinny, but eeek to the pink grip all over your wall!

I have a set of cups I got from Morrisons what were something like 99p They're pretty sturdy too! American recipes never work right without lots of tweaking with me, thought I was just a useless cook though, so I'm glad I'm not the only one they don't properly work with! :o I'm sure there's an option on that recipe to switch it to metric though Tete.

I did feel in a pretty productive mood this morning! I was ironing some of my sisters work stuff in a rush while she was getting ready and broke a nail though :( I don't even know how I did it! Just bloody fell off. BUT I've got the Glee soundtrack on my iPod to listen to while I'm at work (just put it on :D) so that'll cheer me up!!

    Morning!

Thanks Zig  Hope you have a great time in Cornwall & Happy Birthday for tomorrow too!! _party_

I'm a little bit confused. Logged onto my banking before work to see if my phone bill money had gone out and it turns out I've been paid?! Which is weird enough, as I get paid on a Friday, but to top it all off I got paid £100 more than normal. I know I did some overtime this month, but only about £40 worth - and even that's before tax!

Anywho, I'm having a word with my Uncle today about it. If it's all meant to be mine, then I'll figure out what I'll do with the extra £100 this afternoon. Won't give it much thought at the moment though, as it might not be mine!

Other than the pay confusion, not much to say today! Not up to much this afternoon. My Mum has to take a cd back to the NT house she worked in so we're swinging by Matalan and Approved Foods on the way home. She says they still has a little bit of money to spend on me for my birthday, so I'm going to get a cheap printed canvas for my room (the picture I put up yesterdays was borrowed off my Mum who wants it back asap:o) and if there's any money left from that, I'm seeing if AP have any baking stuff or be greedy and stock up on Lime Grove :D

The money was mine *hugs it* Turns out my Uncle has decided to give me a payrise, and back dated it for the month. How lovely is that?! Feel mean for bad mouthing him last week now!

Anyways, I decided as it's money I didn't even know I was getting I'd just split it between the savings pots. And gave myself some extra spending money  So this meant £44 into the laptop account, £40 into the holiday pot and £50 into the House account. Updated my signature to suit! Popped some pennies into Gregs account too, which is building up slowly but nicely! Just about to pay some pennies into my mobile account which will fully cover next months bill. And I'm done!

Ooh, felt very flush for a while then :D

Ooooh that's great news about the payrise! You deserve it after putting up with your uncle's potty mouth telling you that you were doing his work wrong!

I hope you get nice things this afternoon too!
