To clarify -"In my opinion, a promise of discretion from Tandraig should be treated with the utmost caution." I did not, and would not, advise people on who to ecxchange PMs with and who not, but opined that people should be cautious.

I apologise, my wording was wrong. I have now edited it :o

Pete with respect if you read the said thread maybe you would say differently. The Pm's revealed information about the posters personal life they werent meant for the forum. I agree with what the others have wrote completely , I just didnt want to be the one to say it on this thread.

Anyway back on topic, Alyth you have done amazing well and you are a very brave woman and have come so far in this. It's frigtening that this could really happen to anyone of us. Good luck in life

God please tell me that it wasn't in connection with my thread that a personal PM was posted on line - I have to be honest and say I have never sent a PM in my life, I received a few in connection with this thread but haven't had a chance to reply to any of them - for which apologies, I will do so as soon as I get my horrible exam over with tomorrow.

Don't panic, it was another poster :) The whole thread was very quickly and properly locked by the BG's and shortly after deleted by MSE.
Good luck for your exam. I'm sure you'll be surprised when you discover how well you can manage it.

I didn't think it was my post that it was relating to, just had to check!

1848 revolutions in German (yawn.......) I can bore on them for Britain now. Should be studying instead of sitting on this site!!

Rosa's suggestion of a cermony is fantastic, some work is being done on the cottage over easter and that's a really nice thing to suggest and one which I will definately do.

:o:) great - and I did mean it about thinking of you if you tell us when!

I always believe things happen for a reason, I am 40 soon and maybe this was some kind of wake up call for me to totally change my life. I do feel so much safer, a bit liberated as I know I won't have to meet him in passing any more, and the changes that are being implemented are good ones.

All I need now is to pass the FOUR exams that I have over the next 6 days :-(

Good to hear you're happy with the changes. It sounds to me like you've been uncomfortable with him for a long time, and now you're free.

Best of luck with the exams

I started the re-jigging of the cottage this afternoon, I now have lovely new candles and stuff in the sitting room, so I guess Easter Weekend I can do the ceremony - that's something really nice to work towards, I really appreciate that Rosa.

I do feel free - I feel so much more relaxed and happy, although if anyone is bored tonight they can find out why German unification failed in 1848 :rotfl:as I can only find out six reasons!!

Well according to Errata it's because they were busy slurping Holsten
