awww dotty...am really sorry to hear that you feel this low..consider whether the business is worth it but I think the first thing you need to do is talk to people who know & love you; get down to the GP & get some anti-depressants (no shame in that by the way) & remember that it IS only money...I know its depressing & hard slog but you're on the right track. Added to the fact that we all love havin you around. Have a humongous hug from me and remember that you're doing really well; not burying your head in the sand & dealing with it....at the end of the day you can only do your best...wish I could help in some way...if you want a chat pm me your phone no & I'll ring you...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I've been debating for ages whether or not to post this, so please understand that it's with the intention of love & support and hoping that you'll see clearer now - if reading all the wondeful support and encouragement above hasn't already done that of course!
Have you ever lost anyone to suicide? I just thought I'd write as a survivor - and dotty if you still feel this way then please, please do two things - 1. go to your doctor and tell him/her NOW and 2. go to a support group meeting for people who's family members have done this (a large % will be because of debts, because their family's would be 'better off without them'. I PROMISE you that not one of those people will be 'better off' in any way what so ever, they will be far, far 'worse off' and will be so for years to come now.
When I first read your post I thought to myself (and i'm sorry if this sounds flippant) 'bankruptcy takes 6 years to discharge' compare that to the 30+ years of suffering for one man I know who lost his wife in this way.
Anyway, that's enough. Sorry for the emotional response, it's just that you are worth SO SO SO much more than your debts. They are literally nothing in the face of your life and of the lives of your family. !!!!{hugs}}}

Hi Dotty
I am so sorry to read that you are feeling down, I have felt like this before too. But as other have said more eloquently than me tomorrow is another day.....
You have come so far with sorting out your personal debt, this process started with small steps of having a lightbulb moment and then slowly progressed to setting up a DMP. Sorting out the accounts too will take time; after all they did not get like that overnight; so it is going to take lots of small steps to get them right.
I have to say you have been such an inspiration for me - with you drive and persistence. Someone posted on my DFW Blog that I should slow down as my mind began to race with lots of different plans and possible routes to save more money and they were right .....(sorry can't remember who at the moment) we are in this for the long haul and it will not be a quick fix but it is positive and we will get there even if it is on the date set by the CCCS - 11 years!
Keep posting here Dotty and we will support you with virtual hugs and words.
Take care hun
