hi dottyanne - where do you live? If you're anywhere near me (Poole) I'll come round and have a cup of tea with you - I'll bring some biccies, but they'll have to be Value ones! Well, ok, as it's you, I'll bring round some fondant fancies.

seriously though, I know exactly how you are feeling - I've been there in the past. Just keep talking to us, we'll all help you, in whatever way we can.

Everyone hates being in debt, but you have a plan. Steps from "a" to whatever that will get you out of debt. Every step takes you away from debt. Every step a small one. If it isn't a small step, break it down until it is. Then take those steps - one by one.
Do the same with your business accounts. You know what needs to be done to have them organised. Write the steps down. Follow them. Have a system. A system isn't a filing cabinet - it's a way of doing things.dottyanne wrote:- i wish i wasnt here anymore and that is for real.
Everybody feels like that sometimes. But life is good. Think of the simple pleasures that make life worth living.dottyanne wrote:Hubby would be a lot better off without me
Your hubby probably would never recover completely from losing you. Talk to him - and see.dottyanne wrote:- my life is crap at the minute - i spend every minute of every day obsessing about money -
Some times it's nice to take a break from it. But this doesn't mean suddenly rushing out to the shops. This could mean spending some time with hubby - somewhere private together, where money will never intrude.dottyanne wrote:i cant picture the future..............
The future is kind of anti-now. A future where the sun shines. No obsessing about money. Safety, security and happiness.dottyanne wrote:dotty

dottyanne wrote:No i really dont think i am doing so well - ok so ive sorted things with CCCS but that doesnt sort out the mess im in with the accounts and business - i can honestly say ive never been this unhappy and stressed in my life....dotty
Don't throw that in like a casual thing - sorting things with CCCS and getting on a dmp is a HUGE thing and a really brave step. It's a really big positive, so please try to use that to spur you on. You have to stick around so you can brag to us all when you've got everything sorted

Hey Dotty, you are a valued member of this community and we all care about you, you are allowed to be down and here is a good place to look for support.0

I have read a bit about your situation. I think you have your own business. Have you really thought outside the box???
1. Could you ditch the business? Is it actually making money? Do you supplement it each month? Does the business have any assets you could sell? Can you actually see the business being in better shape this time next year? Sometimes it just better to cut your losses and run.
2. Could you sell your house and downsize? Could you move to a cheaper area?
3. Could you get a regular job? How mush could you earn?
The situation you are in is clearly making you extremely unhappy and we can all write pages and pages about how its only money and it will get better and that we all love you, but sometimes you can change the situation by actaully changing something radical. I hope I have not overstepped the mark, but have given food for thought. We all have choices all the time, we choose not to take most of them (you COULD go bankrupt and go on the dole etc).0 -
*hugs* dottyanne. Sorry to hear you've had a down day - fingers crossed that the sun is shining and you feel a bit better tomorrow.
From your DF diary, you don't sound disorganised at all - quite the opposite!0 -
Dotty
Believe me please when i say nothing including money is worth that.
Please think of how your family & frinds would feel
You are doing so well already and its still very early days
Huggles

(((dottyanne))) I could have written this myself
My debts are overwhelming - I can think of nothing else 24 hours a day, and it is badly affecting my relationship with my partner and my children
And my business accounts are awful too - I dread to think what will happen if I ever have an enquiry by the Inland Revenue. Even though I've got nothing to hide from them, my account keeping has been rubbish
The school holidays couldn't have come at a worse time either - I so want to get myself organised and on top of things, but for the next six weeks that's just not going to happen with the children in my hair 24/7
So sorry I can't be of help, but if you ever need to talk, please, please pm me
