Anyone had any luck on Norton recently, my complaint still with the FOS and waiting, almost 2 months now so should get a further up date soon !

Hi Clare i have just popped over to see how everyone is getting on.
I had a letter from FOS saying that Norton do not agree with the adjudicator so the case is to be passed to an ombudsman. This was at the beginning of July.
They also said it would be a while before the complaint would be resolved due to large volumes of complaints now being referred to the ombudsman.
It is 2 and a half years since my first complaint!!“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -

So Norton not playing ball then !!! Grrrr so sorry to hear this, you must be so frustrated after 2 and half years, my year and 2 months feels bad enough.
I recently had a letter from FOS stating awaiting an adjudicator, however they have large volumes of compliants so could be a while. Last week I wrote a frank email of the hardship we are experiencing but yet to have a response !
Surely Norton will have to admit liability/responsiblity for their dodgy sales, single premium PPI being now banned and all that. Do you think thye are just playing for time and that should they admit the miss sell the flood gates will open with other claimants ? and rightly so too.
Thanks for the update Any Chance, much appreciated albeit not great news, at least I know I am not alone.
Fingers crossed that your claim comes top of the pile very, very soon.
Kindest Regards

Hi folks!
Sorry to hear that you are still awaiting an adjudicator Clare and also that Any Chance's complaint has had to go to an ombudsman
Mine had to go that way too Any Chance and thankfully that particular stage didn't take too long - it was December when I was informed of this by the FOS and mid April when I heard that the ombudsman had reached the same decision as the adjudicator. In fact I had only received a letter from the FOS the previous week saying it was still in a queue, then the next thing the ombudsman's Final Decision turned up!
Only problem now is that I'm still waiting for Norton to pay up - over three and a half months later
Unfortunately Norton maintain they are having problems getting the information they need to calculate the settlement from the lender and the FOS has said they can't really help any further at this stage...................
So all in all not particularly good news, but and it's a big but - the Final Decision of the ombudsman is legally binding - meaning they will have to pay up at some point.............even if it means having to get the court to enforce the decision!
Keeping everything crossed that we all get our money back very soon!
Take care,
