In my day at University you could also do maths as an Arts degree.

    Dear George,

Are you planning to go on a populist war? as it seems to work for [STRIKE]Maggy and Tony[/STRIKE] other leaders dealing with economic wows throughout history.

My wife once said I looked a bit like Gordon Brown.

I was so hurt that I accused her of having the dress sense of Susan Boyle.

That reminds me of my former work colleague who once told his wife she looked like "comedienne" Jo Brand.

    She was not best impressed.

You certainly don't come across as an Oxbridge type online. I had a mental picture of you boiling lentils and attending CND rallies whilst studying for your B.Ed somewhere less illustrious.

I'm making vegi chilli at the moment. It's got kidney beans and quorn, but no lentils.

    Will that do?
