Phew missed a lot of posts over the last couple of days! Not much happening my end but now have appointment booked with Vicar and disappointingly the RSVPs have trickled to a halt. Poo.

Am behind at work on various projects so am trying to catch up, fortunately planning can wait for a short while. I need to get moving on the weightloss as well so will spend some time today planning some weightwatchers old style menus for the week.

Love ian stuart dresses but I vetoed trying them on because of the cost. My mum has been showing my dress to her neighbour and neighbours teenage daughter who both declared it the most beautiful they have seen. Gave me a bit of a lift as worrying about it somewhat, although quite disturbing the amount of showing off my mum is doing!

Thank you sexymouse! Here is a pic of the pashminas I am getting that the shoes need to match (ish!):

The shoes...ideally about a 2" heel I think. One of the BM's is a farmer, so more used to wellies and won't be able to walk in anything higher, but another BM wants heels because she thinks it makes her legs look slimmer! I need 2 x size 6 and 1 x size 5. x

I managed to get a pair of hot pink sandals with a mid heel in the Dotty P's sale last week! £3 instead of £25!!! :T

My BMs are in black with hot pink, so they will be grand. My local shop only had 1 pair left (its a small store tho) so I still need to get summat for the other BM. Might be worth a look though

Wants help. People I think I have found my perfect dress. The downside is that it needs altering - extra £45, it needs cleaning - extra £95 and it's up for £900.

My heart would break if I didn't get it but my head is slamming on the breaks due to cost.!

The dress has been discontinued and this is the only one I have seen in anything approximating my size. As it's been discontinued I couldn't order it even if I wanted to but the cost of it is staggering even my engagement ring which I will wear every day for ever wasn't this expensive for something I will wear for 12 hours :-(!

    Should I or shouldn't I .....

Have you tried asking them to knock some money off the dress? Ask them. Your not losing out on anything and if you dont ask you never know. say how much you want the dress but its a little out of your price range is there any chance of a discount on the dress.....

Yup tried that, it's on eBay and she has 7 watches she has said if it doesn't sell she will knock £50 off .... I know Shes taking a hit on this and I understand her position. Have just been crying my heart out in the bath about the cost OH came through and points out I don't buy many clothes or shoes and when I do they are from charity shops, I don't really go to the hairsdressers apart from a dry trim every now and then, so have decided to go for it. Have asked if she will take it off eBay if I pay the £900 but.... Can't pay till Jan till I get paid... If she goes for this I will be sooooo surprised .... Fingers toes and legs crosses people....

  • Good luck becks, Hope you get it!

Went to look for BM dresses yesterday, as I ordered one from China which looked gorgeous in the pics but when it arrived, it was weirdly shapeless... my sis tried it, put a brave face on, but looked like she was going to cry and confessed she felt like she was wearing a sack :(
First shop we went into were ultra rude and said there was no way they could help, with 3 months to go. Second shop were amazing and said they'd do a rush cut for us, *and* we found a dress both myself and my sister love!!! Yay! It blows the budget a bit having bought two dresses... but it's my fault really, trying to get one bargain too many!

And we sat down and picked our reading tonight. Just having the one: Chapter One of One Thousand By O.J.Preston.

Oh, and I forgot to mention - our photographer is called ... drum roll...
Martin Lewis! :money:Is it wrong that I chose him over another because I'm such an MSE fanatic???

    :rotfl::rotfl:love it!
Becks-how did you get on, any news yet?
Sammr-sorry, Thank you to you too! my prima BM loves the first pair, so think I might get them, although I'm worried about getting the exact colour right! I found different pashminas for the BM's on Saturday in Debenhams, £15 reduced to £4.50 :money:it's still the same colour though-magenta/fuscia/cerise/pink-ish!! I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and buy a pair and hope they match!
