I feel a bit chuffed off today tbh.
:undecided
I went into work last nite and while i was there went to book our holidays for our honeymoon and we can only have the time off in August - Not Happy! You would think with it being our honeymoon (and you only get married once, that they would make sure we get when we wanted - BUT NO!!!) everyone has booked holidays and because they only let 3 people off at any one time we cant have ours until August (we both work together)
It was either August or end of sept, so given the choice we went for August. This rules out most places we wanted to go - 1 reason because for places like the caribbean islands and Thailand its hurricane season. 2 - Mauritius that woman has just been murdered 3 - tunisia well i wont go there with that one so everywhere where we fancied going something has stopped us.
We dont want to go anywhere in Europe we wanted a more exotic place and somewhere you dont visit often. hense the caribbean or thailand etc
A collegue of ours has suggested Cape Verde has anyone ever been?what is it like? we really dont know where we want to go now:think:
sorry i just needed to vent *SIGHS*:T Became Mrs Allison on 23rd April 2011

Hi Bride2be,
aww that sounds rubbish, can't believe they won't let you take the time off. Which reminds me, I should check with my work too - we work together too, but was assuming there wouldn't be a problem. Need to get it down on paper!
If it helps, we're going to Mauritius, although in May so not sure what it's weather is like in August -might be rainy. I try not to worry too much about bad news - bad things happen everywhere. It doesn't mean you yourselves wouldn't have a really magical time there. Hurricanes on the other hand, I do try and avoid. My friends going on honeymoon in August said the Maldives are good weather wise.0 -
Thanks for that FlowerPower
although the Maldives looks stunning everyone goes there so wanted to avoid it if we could. Mauritius is hurricane season in August unfortunately

I'm going back to work on the Tuesday too, friends of mine who have not gone on honeymoon straight after the wedding say it's nice to be around to enjoy everyone talking about the wedding, so I'm hoping it will be the same for us too! I hope..! We're waiting until October-but that is luckily our choice as we're off to New Zealand for the end of the rugby world cup
Just think-we can all come back on here and admire each others wedding photos! :j
