  • Spoken to register office and booked for 1pm! Meeting with the venue again on Saturday to iron out all the final details and put together a proper estimate of costs. Then deposit will go down and we'll sign on the dotted line to confirm! Just got the everything else to organise now!

I have literally just (5 mins ago!) provisionally booked 23rd April 2011 with our venue! Just need to ring the register office now and get them booked and then I can officially join this elite group of brides and grooms! I'm a little over excited!

Love the hair accessory! Mae bridal in Witney is fab - I desperately wanted to get my dress from there as she was sooo nice but I had fallen for a dress they didnt stock! I collect my dress on friday so will be popping in to look at veils etc though ( I dont much like the ladies in the shop I had to buy from so they wont be getting any more of my business...).

Have been lurking for some months now and have just started posting. Am based just outside of reading but work in Oxford and getting married on April 30th 2010! Most things sorted now just doing accessories for my outfit, invitations and trying to decorate an empty barn on a budget...

and myself and MM2B are also from in and around Oxford :) Join us on the getting married in Oxfordshire board too :)

I made my draft invite last night, not very well as my guillotine is too small and cheap and my printer has run out of black ink so its all purple :o and nothing was measured so everything is wonky as well!! but OH likes it, I will post some pics but no comments on the shody workmanship thou please!! It was a quick mock up so OH can see and I was fed up of being pestered to make one!

MM2B I love that tiara, my dress isn't due bk to Blossom until February so my mum thinks I should wait and look at what tiaras and veils they have when I go for my next fitting! I might pop into Mae bridal seeing as people r loving them :) Seeing as we're on MSE was it an MSE purchase or have ur splurged on it?? (if u don't mind me asking :o)

Oooohhh where did you get your dress from? I wanted to get mine from Mae too, but she didnt stock the dress I liked either. Where abouts are you getting married? Is it Lains Barn?

We must pass each other on the way to work. I live just outside Oxford and work in Reading! :rotfl:

I took a risk getting the tiara without trying it with the dress. Hannah in Mae Bridal is so nice though and she knows what dress I did go for so helped me match it and re-assured me it was right. Yeah definately pop in, I got my veil from the shop my dress is from.

Def not :money:!! :o I saw it and loved it and saw the £175 pricetag :eek: My lovely mum then picked it up and went and paid for it :D

How is everyone doing? I said I was feeling down before I feel a bit better now. Id been feeling low and stressed, with wedding budget and also (I think ive mentioned before), my dad was diagnosed with Terminal Cancer 2 years ago and given 3-4 years :(. Just been stressing abot him being at the wedding etc. Even though he is doing great at the moment. Had a big cry, huge hug off OH and feel much better now.

OMG so may April 30th brides on here! Hello to all of you!!

Mrs Moore2B the empty barn is on my H2Bs farm not far from Theale so it is really empty! I had to go to Tring to get my dress as no stockists in Berks or Oxon. I collect it on Friday and then it goes to the dress alteration lady in Theale my florist recommended.
