Oh-I feel a joke there somewhere about page 3 girls...
Anyway, I'm off work today and the H2B is home this afternoon, so I'm going to suprise him by making it a "wedding organising" afternoon! He'll wish he was back at work!! But we have to sort out our food, I'm starting to get worried that we won't be able to find a caterer!
Is anyone having a hog roast, by any chance? We want one for the evening, but I don't know how much it will cost...

Hello all

Magicboo, hope u enjoy ur wedding organising afternoon with H2B, all I did last night was to tell OH he is NOT wearing his damn "pods" as his shoes for our wedding and I started a row *rolleyes* he just doesnt understand y they aren't appropriate Groom's shoes!! anyway mini rant over lol

received our e-mail from TCH with a run through of our day, our menu and estimated price!! Very excited now, all getting more and more real!! I'm hoping to get the last few things organised by the end of the month which includes, entertainment, suits and start hunting for our rings oh and I need to pay the deposit for the car.

How is everyone else doing?? 156 days to go!!! worked out last night we only have 23 weekends to get things organised!! doesn't sound like long when u put it like that!!

Can't decide on the first dance, I always wanted You and Me song by the Wannadies but I'm now wondering about having secret dance lessons so we could do something ballroom-ish to "It had to be you". It would be fab, but the H2B isn't quite such a lime light grabber as me, so he's not so keen! We'll probably end up going for something completely different!!

We're having Stand by Me (Ben.E.King) for our first dance as not only is it one of our favourite songs with a lovely sentiment, it's nice a short too!!

Neither of us are overly keen on the first dance bit so works out perfectly for us!

For our second song (with parents etc) we're having Lucky by Jason Mraz - one of my favourite songs ever and the words just sum us up

Still deciding on a first dance song! Its so hard lol
Walking in to Greenday and having the Foo Fighters and Paramore to sign the register etc.
Still need an exit song and first and second dance songs.
Got the last 2 songs sorted Shang-a-lang and Loch Lomond!

Have organised a meeting with the venue thursay 18th Nov to go over all the details and get a costing. Very exciting! Our venue isn't open to the public so the only time we see it is at meetings!

Sammr We had a wedding related argument too, sparked by the cost of the wedding rings etc, we went through the budget and cut some stuff out.

Magicboo, ill have a look through my wedding folder as we were originally going to have a hog roast but didnt in the end so Ill see if I have any prices. I forgot to post the tools - doh! Will do it on Monday as off work after today till then.

We ordered our rings... they will be here in 2 weeks!

Still undecided on a dance but my friend who is a dancer is choreo-graphing us a dance (for free) and we havent told a soul!! x

Can I join the club please? We've been engaged all of 2 1/2 weeks, and our weddings set for April 30th! 177 days to go...
It's funny seeing the number of shocked faces when we tell them it's next year not 2012 All because I want to get married in my 20s...
I'm so excited, all I think about at the moment is wedding-y.. going back now to read through the rest of this thread - hope to find out what the hand cream is about, and loving the idea of wine charms!

well weve been away so its now busy busy on the wedding preparations. We have got everything but the punch for the invites so have started planning whats going in it and typing it all up.. Hoping to go and look at rings soon and also speak to the venue..

am getting excited now less than 6 months to go :-)

Well I went to have a look around the gym that did the bridal bootcamp today, and to be honest, I wasn't that impressed at all, so won't be joining there. I think I'm going to go back to the gym in my hometown instead, as they are actually cheaper (ok I won't get the personal training sessions), and they have a swimming pool. I'll just have to make sure I keep myself motivated, and don't allow myself to skive off. I'm determined to lose a little bit of weight before my last dress fitting in February.

Also found a place that does eyebrow threading today, and they aren't that expensive either, so will get my eyebrows matching and in a decent shape before the wedding.

Looked for a nice bridal nightdress today, but didn't have much luck finding anything nice. The only one I'd consider is one that is in Debenhams, but keeping my eyes peeled for something else too. Anyone seen anything? Trouble is, I'm not very big up top, so don't want something that just hangs off me.

Only 5 months and 1 day until my wedding!
