Tried to sort the flowers order out yesterday. Beginning to regret asking the MIL2B to arrange them. Its working out more expensive than if the shop did it! She is massively over ordering and cant understand why I dont wnat the expensive roses I have in my bouquet £3 per stem!) in the rest of the arrangements where I am using similar spray roses (£3 a stem but you get about 6 roses per stem minimum). And why do I have to have a bloody arrangement in the car???

AND to top it all she let slip she was planning to put a surprise cake beside the actual wedding cake on the day of the wedding.... err... !!!!!!!!! Apparently it has something funny on top which I am guessing wont go with all the decorations I have meticulously planned. I will have to get H2B and my mum to explain that after 18 months of planning the wedding down to the finest detail I do not want 'surprises' on my wedding day. I dont care if she thinks its the best idea ever, it will seriously p++s me off. I tried explaining yesterday but I dont think she got the message. she will have to be killed somehow.

rant over. Hope everyones a happy bunny!

Ok my late morning wedding stress...

Just received an email to my joint email account entitled 'Purchase of Wedding Video-Recording Licence'

Eh??? We are not having a video. I hate having my picture taken and the vicar does not allow photos during the ceremony.

The certificate has my H2Bs name and the date and place of the wedding on it but he claims to know nothing about it. It could be the company just sends out these random emails touting for business but I called the company WVRL and it all seesm legit and not a scam.

any ideas? is anyone having a videographer and had to apply for this??

confused and really close to cancelling the wedding.

    aarchk..calm..breathe..it's alright.
We're having a videographer, and the only thing we have to do is pay the church an extra £80. No liscence, nothing. The website does look legit though, you're right!
..you don't think it could be another "lovely surprise" from your MIL2B?! Could your OH have a word, just in case?

shes just called to say its not her and frankly I cant see it being anyone else as they would have put their own email address rather than the joint one?

the license if for the music I think. Its £5 so not a huge amount but still all very odd that they have his email, name, date and place of wedding etc.

its all very weird... will check his bank account later to see if they took a payment as well.

    Hi everyone!
Aarchk - hope it all sorts itself out. I'd also not be happy about have a videographer, especially out of the blue!

My big news is I'm picking my dress up on Saturday!!!! OMG I'm so excited! I saw a woman on don't tell the bride slate a similar dress to mine saying she'd look like a cake in it.... lucky I like cake! :)
I keep finding myself obsessing about little things - my current obsession is whether to provide kid activity packs - and if so how on earth to cater for the different ages... Most packs seem to be for ages 3+ which will suit the two 4 year olds, but I'll also have two 2yr olds and 3 18month olds who are already at the age where they are entertainable. I saw that ELC have a 70% off sale at the moment, so thought about just getting a few small figures for the younger ones to play with from there
    Am I stressing about nothing?

I am doing gift packs for ages 9 months to 12 years. The packs include a small farm themed sticker and puzzle book, pack of pencils or crayons according to age, small pack of haribo sweets, bubbles and either a water squirter for the under 7s or a pack of top trumps or hair accessory for the over 7s depending whether girl or boy.

I also have two 14 year old girls who I have bought necklaces for.

I bought white takeaway bags from ebay to put the stuff in and am decorating these. looks really good! I got most of the bits from wilkinsons and ebay.
