My cake is from M and S!
5 days to goooooooo!
Hi Gleeful, me too! I can't believe it's nearly here! Hope you have a fantastic day and the sun shines for both of us.
Hope everyone else is ready and not stressing too much. I'm feeling ok, but tents to put up and tables and chairs to set up tomorrow, thankfully have a selection of big strong men to help so i don't break any nails. Bit annoyed as it's forcast to rain, but hey, there's not much that can be done about the weather and I'd rather it rained tomorrow rather than Saturday! Had a day shopping with the BMs yesterday for their shoes and bits (had to wait for one to come from Australia so was all a bit last minute with the shopping) but thanks to New Look and Claires accessories, it's all sorted.
Just going to try and relax as much as possible for the next few days and looking forward to this time next week when we will have just taken off to go on honeymoon.
Good luck all with the last minute preparations, all of the weddings will be amazing.

Well I had a bit of a wobble yesterday... went to pay the registrars (I'm getting married in a licenced venue) and was explaining that I'm having a friend play guitar as our guests arrive, to welcome them to the ceremony and she just sucked her teeth and declared that there would absolutely be no room. Telling her that we have 85 people invited led to more tooth sucking and a declaration that they wont all fit in the room and that she needs to check how many its licenced for an that the superintendant wont conduct the service if there are too many people.
Seeing as my venue, who applied for the licence in the first place, has Ok'ed my numbers, and my musician I'm thinking this woman is talking out of her *** and she even confessed that she doesn't know how many it holds anyway. Now why on EARTH would you bring something like that up unless you are 100% sure that there is a problem. I'm going back in today to double check so hopefully everything is fine - in which case I'm going to have to resist the urge to go bridezilla at her. And if things aren't fine then I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up going bridezilla at the venue. Pretty sure there wont be though as the manager of my venue is a star!0 -
Seriously?! MM2B, we have to stop this, we did an 80's dance class in Bournemouth for my hen weekend!! In fact, looking at your pics, i think our dance class was in the same place! Was it a hotel on the cliffs? Was the teacher called Siobhan?! OMG..and we went to Lava Ignite on Sat night too!!! xx
OMG!!!! This is so freaky! Ours was at that EastCliff hotel or whatever it was too, although our teacher was called Clare.
I had an amazing time. The class was such a laugh and the coctail making was cool. My stepmum and stepsister were a pain but overall it was a BLAST. There are so many pics going up on FB!!
Last week we saw the Vicar - he went through the service. He said there is no 'you can now kiss the bride' is this normal? He was adamant that we dont have it
Our favours came at the weekend - choc covered fortune cookies. Our buckets for smarties/name places are all ready.
Page Boy had suit fitting yesterday.
My Final fitting is on Saturday and sunday we are at the venue for final numbers.
So much going on now - its crazy!!!
How is everyone else? xx:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

The kiss the bride bit..I think thats something that isn't actually written in the ceremony...but its how vicars tend to finish off ad lib so to speak....I cant actually remember our vicar saying it ...but I do remember my husband and I sharing a small kiss at the end of the proceedings...if you want a small kiss...is he really going to stop you?frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
OK girls (& guys!), I need your calming influence. I am now-finally-starting to panic! I have a big, fat "to do" list, and keep doing things..but the things I keep doing aren't even on the list! I need to order some bits from ebay, but last night I went to order the icing for our cakes (we want bright pink!) and the icing cost £22 and the postage was £27 ! So I didn't order it, but I do need it!! I haven't printed off the O of S because I haven't had the ok from the organist, we need to buy the bottles for our wine, I need to make the table plan, but need to buy the bits to do so, I don't know if we have enough sloe gin for the welcome drink, but don't know how to work out how much we will need, I don't know how to make sure everything is remembered on the day and I don't know who will be in charge, as it's at my folks house, so we don't have a "manager" to make sure everything is going to plan!
Please can someone calm me down?! xx0 -
