My dress alterations are finished and dress is totally lush and from a £300 estimate from the tailor for alterations it was £260 so well pleased. My mum is planning to make things from all the material taken off the bottom.

I have never managed to insert pics into the post so I have a flickr account and just post the link. Cant wait to see some more gorgeous pics!!!

Dress fitting went better, have decided to go with the fishtail petticoat which means I dont feel like a sausage roll around my middle. I managed to persude the alterations lady to fit the plain satin underdress to me better and leave the tulle overlay so it will look all hazy and romantic, she was trying not to take the dress in because of the amount of beading that needs removing and resewing on the overlay so this was a great compromise! The bad news is because of the less net in the petticoat the dress is hitting the floor too much and I need to get higher shoes so am off to Reading this morning to hunt down some which are higher than 3 inches and comfortable (and preferably without platform as I find them weird and like to bend my toes when I walk and also vintage looking without diamonte or beading as this will catch in the tulle hemline).

If anyone has seen anything suitable please let me know!!!

less than two weeks and I am still looking for shoes (these will be my ninth pair...).

Hi jemma. Where did you get your flowers from as they are exactly what I am after. They look very similar to some artificial ones I have samples of from eBay. If this is the case would you recommend them?

I've done it! I'm now a Mrs! What an amazing day I had.

Here are some photo's - the date stamp is totally wrong for some reason:

The day went perfectly - no hitches - apart from the Master of Ceremonies disappearing off to pick his Mum up so I had to announce the band myself! Oh and a drunken Auntie. My dress was perfect, I nearly tripped over it going up the aisle but I got used to the size of it eventually. It was like wearing a duvet!

Ok so I'm not an April B2B but I just thought I'd pop on here....lovely pics all of you and big congrats all round :)
At one time there was talk of having a sticky thread for pictures as we all love seeing them...some folk post them as their own thread, some go in their month thread which is why I decided to have a nosey lol
Are any of you getting married on the same day as a certain other couple on London?
