MM2B - I had a bad breakout last week, but no more this week, just red marks so am rubbing aquaeous cream on to help the healing... I need to get my eybrows shaped, never had it done before can you recommend anyone local to Theale? Weird we are getting married in the same locality on the same day!
cant belive we get married next week. Despite still being slightly grumpy about all the extra hassle from the Royal wedding its rather nice that there are lots and lots of weddingy things on tv at the moment. Will be spoilt for wedding film choice on the evening of the 29th.
I have been working on a 'things to do next week' list (divided by day) so H2B know what he has to do and when. Have persuaded him to go to his mums for dinner the day I collect my dress as I want to play dress up with my mum for a bit. Fortunately I only have to keep the spare room door locked from wednesday until Friday, have a very curious H2B and I dont trust him not to peek!
Just realised last night we have a load of things to do for the honeymoon, find passports book airport parking etc. My to do list has just got longer!
Hmmm, for eyebrow shaping id reccomend bamboo in the high street. Im having mine done in Didcot (where I live). But Ive had them done in bamboo before and they were great. I know its mad its so close and on the same day
Im loving the royal wedding stuff but also not. My fear is that Kate will look so skinny and great and gorgeous on her wedding day and then ill look like a big whaleso from that aspect im not liking it so much.
Ahhh honeymoon stuff - thats H2B's area to sort. Although I have to call up today to book some excersions with our honeymoon registry money.
I like the idea of a to-do list by day! x:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

Wow Ladies what can I say but CONGRATULATIONS to those who have done it and fingers, toes and everything crossed for everyone whos wedding is still to come.
Sorry for not being on in ages, its been a mite stressful....
1. My car broke down Tues 5th April, as it was 8.45 called my mum and asked if I could borrow her car (we live same village and she works 5 mins away) She said fine and came to pick me up she was gone from work approx 15 mins and back about 10 past 9. Her hours of work are 9-5pm but as she left and didn't tell anyone they want to take her to disciplinaryat her place of work an act of gross misconduct (as they are calling this) is met with summary dismissal  she has worked there for 17 years and never done this before its ridiculous. So she called her trade union guy and went to the docs got signed off with stress (work were pressurising her saying she wasn't working fast enough even thought everyone else on the team was doing the samish number of files she was) she went back to work today and I am worried sick for her...
2. Weds 6th am sat on my sofa in PJ's and supping a bottle of beer chatting to a friend when my oh sends me a text to say he is home from the hospital. 20 mins goes by - Im still on the phone to my friend... and I get a text from my OH (who has been staying in sheffield to help his dad with his mum (diag cancer beg March)) to say that he was back at the hospital. Finished call and tried to call OH who answered phone but said can't talk can't talk and sounded really harrassed. Knew whatever happened couldn't be good I ran upstairs, got changed, threw some clothes for me and him in a bag got in the car and started heading north (I'm in Derby they are in Doncaster) (thank god for tom tom). He called me when I was half way there, in tears as his mum had crashed, her heart had stopped due to an adverse reaction to Morphine. Told him I was on my way and put my foot down. Got there and as I got to the floor where his mum was his brother came out of the ward tears streaming down his face to say it had happened again. I gave him a big hug and went through to the ward to see my OH in absolute bits. He saw me and physically collapsed in tearsMy heart broke for him. They had managed to rescusciate her and decided to give her some medication that will stop the morphine or any of the drugs in her system from working. This seemed to do the trick as she started to come back to the land of the living.
Think we got to his dads house at around 3am when we were sure she was ok. She is now in a much better place but they are still having problems handling her pain.
3. My Hen doo was on Sat 9th. Treasure hunt round Notts and a burlesque dancing lesson was loads of fun but just before the dance lesson I had a call from MIL to say thanks for coming up the other night (as if I wouldnt!!) and I asked her how she was and she said that the MRI scan she had the day after she crashed showed she has a crack in her Vertebrae and that this is whats causing the pain. After talking to her I just broke down as it meant that the cancer had spread to her spine - the cancer she has destroys bone marrow and causes brittle bones... I was not in the mood for my dance lesson but I have some fab friends and many hugs later I made a tit of myself dancing to the striptease song...pics on facebook when I get sent them
4. Had had a rowish with one of my BMS about her not coming to collect my dress and after talking it over she said she didn't want to be a BM but could she help in other ways, we are all fine and I asked another good friend of mine if she wanted to be a BM and she cried when she accepted
5. got paid last Tuesday so its been a manic whirlwind of buying stuff for the tables and the BM's they will hopefully be done this week.
Still to do
* Venue to be paid - dad
* Entertainment to be paid - us/dad
* Finish organising Chair covers - waiting for sample and booking form but prov ok
* Finalise flowers and pay for - dad paying
* send out last lot of info to everyone - do map/collect from hotel tonight
* put together favour boxes - decide what to put in them that isn't almonds but is italian themed.....
* Chase up dress cleaning should be back by Thursday and the lovely lady has found me an Ian Stuart hanger to go with the dress as the lady I bought it from said she didn't have onehow nice is that!
* Finish writing and print order of service
* measure out and cut organza for table runners
* do a make up & nail trial with Rocio
probably loads more to do but can't think at the mo.....

Oh my God, Becks what an absolure nightmare. Well done for keeping it so together, especially for your OH in this difficult time. Do come on here and rant if you need to, it really does help!
MM2B - I bet Kate wishes she were having a small wedding like us. I am gritting my teeth when I read stories about her having a mermaid style lacy dress (like me) and wanting to wear flowers in her hair rather than a tiara (like me). We will both look gorgeous and I think no-one at our weddings will be comparing us to her!0 -
lovely pictures mrs o great colours0

Becks i dunno what to say what a nightmare you have had lately.
The dancing sounds a good bit of light relief I am quite jealous.0 -
Maysie, Aarchk thanks ladies it has been nuts.
Am starting to panic as mine is now next week eeeeeeekkkkkkkk!!!!!
Am sad that MIL won't be able to come and even sadder for my OH as all he wants is his Bro and Dad by his side and I don't even know if Dennis (FIL) will come as he won't want to be away from Maureen.
I also feel soo very lucky to have such wonderful friends who have all rallied round both of us but my OH hasn't even have his stag doo as hasn't been in the mood...Married the love of my life on 28th April 2011 :T

Love your dress too oh, and your colours! x0 -
Magicboo I saw the cake originally at http://www.makiscakes.com/wedding-cakes/temari and I got this lady to recreate it at half the price: http://www.thecakestudiolondon.co.uk/. It was still expensive tho and not very MSE!0
