Not being nosey, but how come they now live so far away? did one of you move? Is there not a chance that you could move closer to be near your children?
Or, god forbid, would she or someone else not bring the kids down to you so you get to see them more often?
Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind.

I travel halfway to drop our daughter off for contact, both of us travelling 80miles each way. I think that is fair as neither of us live where we were when married! If it were to go to court its likely that, this would be ordered anyway. Maybe worth suggesting something similar? When our daughter was younger we took turns to do the whole journey to prevent her being a 'service station' swap, but now in her teens she is okay with it!!

Perhaps if I wasnt working so hard to give her and my kids a nice home then maybe she wouldnt have looked elsewhere....my bad!

I dont see why asking personal questions is anything to do with the subject, its trolling.

Ok, so that's the reason, she felt neglected cos you were working so hard, shame that, really.

It's very sad when a marriage doesn't work out.

I am not a troll, those who know me on here will tell you that.

i thought it because you used the word math in the singular, whereas most grittishers use the word maths,

    Perhaps a halfways point?

When the csa didn't contact you, might it have been prudent to put some money away each month ready for when they did contact you?

I think it helps to get an all round clearer picture of the situation and enables fairer advice to be offered.

I moved far away with her as a last throw of the dice to give the marriage a chance rather than walk away.
I lost my career after we seperated as she wanted me out and all of my family live 100 miles away so thats how come I ended up so far away.
I could not afford to rent anywhere in the city I was working, especially with the divorce to sort etc.
I now have a well paid job which sadly is 100 miles from the kids, and I would not want to live near her.
I moved on and re married.
Its the next move for me is to ask her to meet halfway, but as she dont drive I know the answer will be no.

perhaps a little less "gruff" to the questioning and a little bit more tact.

another generalisation, i know, but a lot of guys who come here for help who are miles away from their kids because it's quite standard procedure in the pwc's "removal of dad" plan when they split to move the kids to the other end of the country.

sad, but true and you see it all too often.
