took me ages to find this thread......have been lurking for hours and didn't want to start a new thread just to say...........over a month since i got engaged, 13 months until wedding and i am OBSESSED........anyone else watching anything and everything on tv including 4 weddings, don't tell the bride, and now, which was a tad too far even for me.......wild weddings which is basically any 1980s you've been framed videos with weddings in them!!!!!!! i watched about 20 brides falls on their a$$ in the background when I was reading these threads and then just thought OMG what the HELL am I doing???????????
I feel myself in conversations as well trying to bring it back round to the wedding and i look at my engagement ring ALL the time!!! LOL

Yes, totally. When I buy a wedding mag in a shop I get looked up and down. Seriously. I then get "When are you getting married?" I answer. "I already am" Then I get the funny looks.
My daytime tv is New York bridal or the wedding designers. My sky box has films such as Runaway Bride, The wedding planner, Monster in law 27 dresses.
My dvd shelf is Bride Wars, The Wedding singer, The wedding date. My best friends wedding.
    Now, how sad am I??

The Wedding Singer and The Wedding Date are the only ones I haven't watched in the last month!!! So thanks for the ideas LOL LOL

Mags - LOL. When I went and got my first one I was dying for the WH Smith spotty teenager to ask me if it was for me and when I was getting married. He did not LOL

After considering putting a stop to the wedding TV after posting earlier, I then saw an advert for Four Weddings USA and now I am ridiculously excited!!!!!!!!

Are you near me? We soooo need to talk weddings!!
I love Muriels wedding too. Watched that recently. I don't tend to do the bride on a bus thing, but do love bridezillas. I kind of get where some of them are (wanting everything to be just so) but others I have nooo idea how they keep their bridesmaids as friends. One recently had make up and lipstick supplied. No way was the bride having her maids out do her so made sure she chose everything and then handed it out. She had a schedule and everyone, I mean everyone had to stick to it. Those poor maids were just beside themselves. She even had a sash with Queen something or other on it. For me it was taking everything to the extreme for something perfect.
But, is perfection more important than the friendship she had with her maids? I don't know. Maybe it's because I'm not having to go through all of that. I tend to be the one who calms everyone down. Brides in dilemas because bridesmaids can't get to fittings etc. I have the wider picture I guess.

:rotfl::rotfl:i love it LOL that's a great story. I am still at the stage of trying to be careful, like I keep saying to the wedding co ordinator at our reception place "I am sure this is a silly q but....." She assures me she has heard it all before.

I really must watch Muriel's Wedding.....one of my friends always says to me (in baaaaaaad accent) "You're terrible Muriel!" so I keep promising I will watch one of these days!

    !

In the world of weddings, nothing is ever a silly question. We hear it all the time but for you ladies getting married, it's a bonafide (sp?) question.
