That looks gorgeous!! You mst love it if you just paid up without the paperwork. I've just got to send off the forms and the reverand has to do his legal checks to make sure he can marry us. I'm getting married in the same church my parents did.
Joho, that dress is stunning but I'm afraid I can't find any chepaer, except for the Landy type places, sorry0 -
OMG! Popped into a local boutique to browse; ended up with an appointment for 2hrs later to try things on; took ALL my details including grooms name, email, phone, date of wedding etc etc; not pushy but intense. Tried on about 9 dresses; whittled it down to 3, ranging in price from £250 (in the sale) to £1000 for a Sottero and Midgley Landis.
So can anyone guess which one I fell in love with?
If some wonderful soul can find me a size 12 for a price that normal hooman beans will pay, I would be overjoyed!! And marry you instead of my man!
Wow, that really is an absolutely stunning dress. Elegant and really unique. But again sorry I can't find a reduced one.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
Kind of a crisis this morning, I've come home and my mam's made me try my dress on again and she's not convinced I'm gonna loose enough weight for it to fit 'comfortably' apparently, so we're going for a crisis meeting with my Aunt who's a seamstress and she's going to make me one.
Am I strange for not panicking much?trying to become a moneysaving student0 -
You might not need to panic, everything might be ok, can you be any stricter with your diet, without compromising your health?
If not there is someone close by who might be able to let the seams out or come up with another solution with plenty of time. You're mum may be stressing and worried that on the morning of the wedding it won't fit so covering every eventuality.0 -
think curly hair works better.
excuse the silly face, twas my hen night after all. think we will have my hair like this on the day, but of course as good as it will go.
been sorting out clothes for honeymoon today as well, washing them ready to iron. thought i would be able to wash and dry them then get them ironed as it was a realy really lovely day, beautiful sunshine, then just as the washing machine finished its first load the skys opened with hailstone! yes hailstone! whats that all about. little balls of ice bouncing as high as me!
Thank you to all posters0 -

I had a quick look on ebay. Couldn't find any real ones, but there are copies out there for £4.99..................... plus £90 odd delivery!!
Much as I love the Landis, I'm now thinking it may be way too stiff and formal for a Greek wedding. If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
the £90 delivery is because it'll either come from chine or the US hence the high price.
my wife to be is looking at getting a copy done on a maggie sottero (sp?) from ebay for less than £3000 -
joho no not at all! its one of the more flowy dresses
there are lots of cheaper alternatives apart from the chinese copy routes for this style of dress
debenhams, next, bhs, monsoon even asda have similar stylesI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0
