  • I was one of the people waiting in for a delivery yesterday, having had reassurance from Jack in the morning that the vans were on track. But nothing came and reading the wine-pages I could see others were also waiting. It is very odd because I have had personal emails from Denis Lafranq from the company about my wine, which made me feel confident. If it is simply a shambles then that would be good news. It would be very reassuring to hear of anyone who actually got their wine. odd odd odd.
  • I guess I am particularly worried because my card was debited for £430 the day after taking my order; have others not had this happen? I now feel stuck with no-one to contact about delivery or a refund.

If I were you, then I would contact my card company immediately, and tell them of your concerns. This whole thing is now getting out of hand, and because of the various postponements of delivery dates, I feel that the police should be involved.
  • sadly i am in the saem boat. they actually phoned within the 14 days they would to organise delivery of wine. supposed to be delivered today between 1pm and 4pm. Nothing yet. the 0800 678 5947 is now dead.

placed a £4k order as well thank god on credit card!
  • I ordered £130 of wine on 7th March, credit card debited on 8th March, phone call from company on 12th March to say that wine would be delivered w/b 15th March. When order did not arrive, I phoned company on 22nd March on 0800 678 5947 - they confirmed all my details - they had them on file. I was assured that delivery would be today 26th March. I even phoned yesterday on same number and someone called Amy assured me that delivery was today, although she could not confirm the carrier.
Guess what - no order arrived and 0800 678 5947 now unavailable.

Will contact my credit card company immediately.

Don't understand how respectable Sunday newspapers do not vet advertisers who take out half page national ads.

We ordered wine on 6th, they took payment on the 7th. Promised wine w/b 15th, they phoned and said it would be saturday 20th. Phoned on 19th to ask what time delivery would be, they said it would be Fri 26th. It was just too many delays. So on the 19th we cancelled our order and it was refunded in full on the 20th.
  • what number did you call to cancel the order?

    thanks

The 0800 number, but it was last week on the 19th. The lady called us back to confirm the refund, I have just looked through our calls and that number was withheld.

I received a call last week-thur/fri- to say that my order would be with me between 1-4 PM today 26th.

I asked if COD was still OK -- initialy my credit card provider without consulting me had refused payment as it didnt fit my usual useage..
I was told that payment was OK as they had already taken it that day.

    Guess what - no delivery.
The 0800 678 5947 order number is no longer available
01132344010 rings forever and the number supplied to me by my card provider 01132459922 is constantly engaged.

Police is probably my next move if no contact is made.
  • Pretty much the same as everyone else - called them, they took the money, called us to promise delivery would be delayed (we were out and they left a message) and then when we chased earlier this week we were told today before 1pm. Nothing.

BT tell us the phone is "either disconnected or suspended" and the restaurant linked to the company answering machine is full. We called West Yorkshire Police who told us to call our local police and we will follow up...

May also try the Leeds local press...
