Free Thorntons chocolate block

Hey I am glad I got the email about the free eggs, an excuse to take myself to a shopping centre near home where there is a Thorntons - a freebie is a freebie, especially chocolate! YUM!

True but I guess most people will only print them if they know they will actually use them. Less wastage that way.
I registered but haven't had the voucher, I have had a little moments box and a couple of yummy free eggs which led me to buy more eggs for which I'm grateful. As long as thorntons is still in business and making fudge I'm happy anyway!

I don't think anyone is saying that Thorntons are satanists but they have either been naive in terms of how many people signed up (which I doubt) or have used this as a cynical marketing ploy. Yes, no-one forced us and yes many companies may have our details, but it is very frustrating. Some of us cannot just nip out to the shops you know. Every person on this board wants something for nothing, and my problem is that a company as big as Thorntons has cocked up.

Not a hypocrite - love freebies, although I often find a good low spend usually bares better fruits. There is nothing wrong with freebies but you are acting if its your right to have them and its a personal slur to you if you do not. I don't understand why people moan on here rather than first ask the company the situation. You may noticed that I emailed them about this promotion 12 hours before they emailed everyone. It maybe my email that awoke a dozy marketing cannon fodder to the error. (probably not but who knows)

Misled you were, but there is no evidence of intentional misleading unless someone shows me. Most people could not find the promotion without a link anyhow, so i suspect this was a genuine over sight.

but it does not deserve the venom and anger some are giving it. Would we really want some poor marketing slave to lose their job because he can not do maths?
