You're missing the point - we were misled and deceived. I too can't get in before the cut-off date and don't see why I should anyway. Put it this way - Thorntons big mistake. You've seen the last of my money.

Do you have proof that you were intentionally misled?
I am fully aware of the issues, however, I also know that sites like MSE can skew expected participants in these give aways. IF this was a cynical marketing measure, then yes, they deserve a wrap on the knuckles. But I think we should be sure of our facts before accusing them, especially when they still offer the chocolates free, as they did with the Metro promotion, as they did with the other free egg the other day.

Bottom line, its free. If you are so worried about your personal information, as per Data Protection Act you can have them remove it. No problems. A wasted few mins typing but not a reason to start fuming at one of the few British companies doing well. Personally, its frustrating but far from the end of the world.

IF you have proof this was a con or deception, please tell us and maybe even sue them as it would be illegal.

EDIT: if you look at 2nd post it says "Is that an offer direct from Thorntons? I can't see it on their web page???" Maybe this was always a limited promotion and MSErs causing a ruckus again as we should.

I definitely registered me and my sis for this but haven't had the egg email yet. I'm going to cross my fingers and hope that this means that I've got a choccie bar on the way. I am so unsubscribing if I don't!

I got the email today.....I'm lucky cos I live a mins walk from a thorntons or 30 secs if I run.....what size are the eggs, are we talking creme egg size :EasterBun

I've had no chocolate or email!!Have have advertising emails from them for the last couple of weeks though, I've forgotten my login password and the link they keep sending me to reset my password (so I can unsubscribe) doesn't work!!Hey ho.

They shouldn't have ran this promo is they had no intention of delivering the goods it's irrelevant Sryder if they are one of the few "British companies doing well" they won't be for long treating customers like idiots. Yeah we know free is free what happened to principles?
