been to foorbal
nothing, off DS, other than 'Happy Mother's Day' said to me for he has no money...so much for the pocket money system.
DD at a sleepover. Going out later to neices she is doing mothers day tea for me, he mum (my sis) and our mum.
Thoughts to all of you who no longer have a mother around...
neice has one Grandma - when she was 1 she had 2, by the tinme she was 2 her dad's mum had become a victim of ovarian cancer:o and my BIL still misses his mum.
Ruth, and my colleague who has just lost her mum, particulalry in my thoughts...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I've made 2 dozen buns, potatoes just going on now. So all should be ready as soon as the footballs over.

WM and TD still going and going and going.:rotfl:
Craftyscholar don't worry i'll get hubby to do it.:D He more than likely won't and the sparky will end up doing it.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Just to add my two-pennorth to the hoover debate
Most of my customers have Dysons and I've found them to be very stroppy, they're fab when they work (on carpets not on hard floors) but most of the time they don't, I take my Henry to work as a back up especially as I'm time limited and cannot be faffing on hoovering the same bit 20 times. Having said that I am gonna invest in a Dyson upright when I get carpets laid, I'll use the Henry for the hard floors and big bits and the Dyson for the carpets. I like to see the muck spinning around, what can I say
DS1, DIL and GD just gone, they got me a bunch of flowers a card and some perfume, and teenie, Bless his little cottons bought me card and a boquet of flowers which were delivered, must have used all of his EMA this week awwwwwwwwwwwww.

grateful The yankee car thing is Clean Cotton, it's one of those you put on the blowers and it's smells divine. I'm quite fussy with yankee and seeing as DD1 was going I just told her to get that one cos I knew it was a smell I liked lol.
Toots If I don't get back on later hope your stay at the hossy is ok, will miss you xx
Off to MIL's soon.0 -
Toots, I hope the week goes well for you.
pigpen I agree Henry is the best. I have a Miele too which is brilliant when it is working, which isn't often.
I had breakfast in bed today, twice!!! DSs must learn to communicate. At least they are old enough not to be offended when I refuse what they have made for me.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

re the vacuums
I have two electroluxes, an upright and a cylinder. The cyclinder it tenacious when it gets a new bag espececially BUT I have 'sticky' carpets - the hold on to stuff.
At work we have henrys for classrooms with hard floors and carpets they seem fantastic - and they are smily always a plus - easily moved too.
I'm off to neices alter so Toots hope you have a relaxing tiem in the hosp. you'll be in my thoughts *mwah*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Happy Mother's Day - I hope everyone has a good day. I made some twinks for MIL (she loved them
) and we all went to see her this morning. I'm giving up on my list for this week, as I never really got any further than the kitchen and need my energy for work stuff. I'm even thinking about getting a take-away tonight. DH isn't feeling well (upset stomach) and I can't be bothered to cook or tidy up afterwards.
I'll see you all on the new fred.
