  • (notso the semi-clear ones I think are only for use in the ward - temporary use! maybe you need to try another mask again - I have had atleast 4 different ones - The one I have now is good and my air loss in the night is below acceptable levels so thats good and I am now only stopping breathing about 7 times in an hour (it was 32!) dont give in keep pestering them until you get a decent fit - we all need a reasonable nights sleep to function.

ETA ask for a spare so that you dont get caught again - I have a spare one which i was going to send if you were having to wait a while )

Toots :kisses3: that is so sweet of you to offer..... I'm very touched.

It's an excellent idea to ask for a spare, I will do that when I go. I'm going to ring them tomorrow and hopefully get there tomorrow.

I'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSE :D so just call me Notso.....

Grrrr I am getting so fed up with this. I am struggling to complete ANY list, not even level 1:(
I feel like just giving up on it all.

Other than when I have delegated work to the children and OH I havenot completed a list in months.

It is called real life.. it takes over, it gets in the way.

What I suggest is you think of 3 or 5 things you want to get done that day.. how about 1 thing off the list.. any level, even if just filling a bag of rubbish.. and work through that.. for example..

    loading washing machine
    moving laundry to tumble dryer
    folding and putting away laundry
    fill a carrier with rubbish
    Sort out 1 drawer.

Everything you would normally have left that is done is a step in the right direction.

    You can do this!!

Oh, and this is the Hotel California.. you can check out but never leave!

Toots, I handed in my notice as my boss like pigpen's ex is a KH (hope i'm ok using that definition?)

I got a contract at my old place of work until Christmas. This will give me time to complete my course that i'm doing and also give me more money in the interim until I can get a job.

It took me ages to complete my exam so we didn't end up swimming or flying come to it..... I promise that I will do bathroom tomorrow and kitchen Saturday am.

Pigpen, you have kept me amused for most of the day with your dog phone comments - brilliant!
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

Oh, I so know where you're coming from! You have to try to think that each thing you do is something you wouldn't have done; so reward yourself for that. What I try to do is my dailies (empty WM, hang up to dry etc, empty DW and make beds) and then just try to do 1 or 2 things that catch my eye from the list. Does it matter if you don't do it? No, certainly not, but you'll feel better for the thing you have done if you see what I mean.

I was beating myself up for trying to do everything on the list which yes, I can do, but it left me no time for anything else!

Just keep taking little steps and you'll get there :)

    :T:T:T:T:T enjoy!!!!

sandy as the others have said - dont you dare give up - you are at a disadvantage just now with your arm for goodness sake so stop being so hard on yourself honey - do what HRH pigpen suggested - a daily list of 5 things no more - I am sorry I am struggling with my memory just now so I cant think who is at home with you - they MUST do more to help you - plead total insanity/incapacity/pain/ whatever it takes but get them involved. even if you only keep your sofa clear so you can relax that is fine - only do what is absolutely necessary. (((hugs)))

LameWolf well done on your huge list today
