    Got down to various things in my hour-long blitz, but doesn't seem to amount to much:

    * Emptied DW
    * Wiped over kitchen
    * Opened box with new Halogen Oven (going to use it in the summer when I switch off my Aga) bought with a money-off coupon which reduced it to only £34 :money: on Amazon
    * Assembled it, checked components, switched on briefly to check it works
    * Tidied the magazine rack and recycled [STRIKE]54 old catalogues and magazines some dating back to 2007[/STRIKE] lots :o
    * Made a cuppa and decluttered some toast.

    Going to blitz on till lunch (1:15pm for me): emptying and folding washing is next, plus loo cleaning. Then I'm all set for the Living Room.

    Hello Carol - good to see you back

    I need to ignore the list and focus in what is most urgent- sorry :p

    DW is on, WM/TD ss on with our bedding, kitchen has been S&S'd but everywhere else is :eek:. The minute I divert my attentions to the garden the place falls apart, I do think I am the only person who can see the mess. (perhaps it is fantasy mess? It smells and feels like real mess to me though :o). I mentioned this to DH in a not moaning way and his repsonse was to fetch a bottle of wine from the shop which was sweet but not especially helpful. He thought that if I drank enough I wouldn't mind the mess :rotfl:.

    anyway, onwards and upwards. or not, waiting for Mr T so have to stay downstairs :cool:

    I am off to take OHs car for its MOT soon, does anyone know how long they take, I normally leave my car so have no idea. I don't know whether to come home or take some books and do some work there.

    Afternoon all...
    I haven't read much of this thread, so sending loads of hugs to those who need or want one. I caught the end of the last thread and wanted to say thanks very much for your continued support (and thanks, too, if you've sent more hugs on this thread)...mum's still waiting for a pre-op appointment (which should have happened last week....), but hopefully that will all be sorted this week. And if it isn't, I'm in the right frame of mind to do some SHOUTING!

    Anyway...I've kept myself busy:

    Monday ~ Living room, reception rooms and hallway DONE!! Can I have a star please Toots?

    I've also had a visit from my dad (who I don't see very often), cleaned up in the kitchen a bit (hoping to get ahead for tomorrow), and almost managed to get to Mr T's to do the supermarket shop (DS has just gone down for a nap, so I don't think that will be happening today...).

    I'm off to get some lunch, catch up with Casualty and do some more knitting.

    Take care all
