Sorry been MIA for a while :( Got a very poorly pusscat at the mo, so lots of visits to the vets = more debt to the CC :( Hopefully the problem has been sussed now but if not then the CC is gonna be working overtime

Will sort out the new balance and update sig soon, really gonna have to work hard to get this paid off, but he's worth it :o

Big hugs to Sashybo :grouphug: i've been in your situation before so know how you are feeling. It lead to my second nervous breakdown (my first was at 8 years old :( )
Please please take the first job you are offered, whatever it is, just to get out of there. If its not brilliant at least it gives you breathing space to look for something better.
I left a full time job and got a part time cleaning job in a school for i think it was 10 hours a week, wasnt much money but at least it was something as i knew i wouldnt get Unemployment Benefit (as it was called at the time) because i had left my job voluntarily :(
Going back a few years here :o I am still doing a cleaning job now, nothing special but there always seems to be plenty of them around cos no-one wants to do them.

    Ooops almost forgot.... a PAD of £4 please, 2 x £2 coins :D

    PS. Well done Paul :T
    Errrr...come back later ;)

Ah sounds good, a bit of sportswear - I nearly bought some gym trainers earlier on the JJB sports sale, really nice but I don't REALLY need them and I can't REALLY afford them so I didn't!

Haha yep the pizza thing sounds familiar - I take all the topping off then put it to one side, then eat the bases but leave the crusts, then eat the toppings and the crusts together! And burgers are eaten salad first, then the top half of the bread on it's own, then the burger and bottom half of bun haha

I can't believe I've found an eating freak like myself :j

I eat all the salad then eat the around the edges of the bun then pull it into little bits and eat them individually! I try not to do it in company though :rotfl:

Haha I do - I try to keep it discreet though! And don't even get me started on a big mac - the hours of fun I can have with that extra bit of bread...

I don't 'do' McDonald's so I can't comment on the extra bit of bread!

I had a look at the thread. The main question asked was the first one I would ask - i.e. has she worked there for less than a year? If so, in a word, she is stuffed. If more than a year, she probably has some rights - including taking the case to a tribunal. This could probably be avoided if the employer is open to discussion. It's always a bad idea to pre-warn about possibly leaving a job until receiving a written job offer from the next employer.
It may also be worth bearing in mind that someone who employs less than five people is exempt from certain legislation but the stuff around unfair dismissal may not be a part of that.
    IMO she needs the CAB.
Also, I'm surprised that no CRB check was carried out before starting her current work.
Much of my info is old so rules may have changed. My most recent venture into the legislation was when I was unfairly dismissed from a part-time job a few years ago. Low income (10 hours a week) and only there 14 months and wanted out anyway. Accepted 20 hours pay as compensation from the employer without resorting to all the tribunal stuff. I'm not one for doing such things myself but I was treated appallingly and was motivated by a desire to show them that even though I was a part-time general cleaner, I did know my stuff LOL. They probably needed a dictionary to translate my letter of complaint (as I needed one to formulate parts of it).
