No PAD for me today, had to take the car into the garage this morning and it was making a whistling noise - guy from the garage just rang to tell us its going to cost £180 :(

Really feeling like we're not getting anywhere with the savings at the minute, that money will have to come back out of the savings

Well presumably you'd get more money that way? In which case-good idea :D & sorry your day was such a trial, but at least car outcome sounds like it was worth the extra hassle :p

Well what I'm thinking is that the Tax Credits are going to be cut soon to make way for this not paying tax under 10k thing that the Tories want to introduce so OH will be gaining about £80 a month through not paying tax but we'll be 'losing' about £400 in TC (well, £320 if you take away the £80)

There's no way we're going to be able to live because if I work full time, we'll be paying out £600ish on childcare which isn't what I want to do. I can't see any other way to keep the roof over our heads.
