Despite weeks, and now months, of chasing the contract and being promised it will be ready before the end of the week, my OH is still waiting for his renewal contract. He's now been fobbed off until Weds next week.

His current contract ends on 31st March!!!!

To say that I am getting worried is an understatement! If they don't renew, then we can't afford to live here anymore and will most likely have to move to Belgium (OH can get some work from his Dad there delivering goods across Europe etc). Which means that, after work just agree to my language course, I will have to leave and then also ask them if the Belgian office will take me on.

And what if they don't? What if they get annoyed at me and say no? Then I have to try and find a job with someone else with limited language skills.

Even if we went back to the UK I wouldn't be much better off. No jobs around and no longer entitled to JSA.

    Arghhhhhh, I'm freaking out!

I have no idea where you got that from! lol. I work in global payroll, SFS, CIT and IDT coordination. Mostly payroll and CIT these days.

OH is a 'proposals engineer'. ie, he's an engineer who gets the client's RFP (request for proposal), figures out what is needed, how long it will take etc etc and then produces the proposal.

Guys always say that women worry too much. Personally, I think OH isn't worrying enough! lol I am a worrier by nature though and OH knows it (drives him a bit crazy at times). But, in my defence, 9 times out of 10, I am right to worry (and prepare).

I worry less if I feel prepared for the worst and right now, I don't feel even the slightest bit prepared.

    And thanks Boysma. Fingers crossed.
