Euro, your comments about your friend make me feel bad that I didn't go over to visit my friend when she lived in Copenhagen (although I was less close to her then) and again since she moved to Cork. In fact, when I saw her in January, it was probably the first time in three years that I'd seen her. Incidentally, now that we are back in more regular contact and I was going to go over and see her, she's moving back over here in August!
I know this is of no use to you whatsoever, but it doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't care. Maybe she doesn't realise that you do miss her.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
Thanks COMP.
Unfortunately, she does realise how much I miss her, as I have told her repeatedly and extended the invitation repeatedly, for her and her OH if it makes her/him more comfortable, but only ever get vague promises in return.
TBH, I think she is still angry at me for 'leaving' her. I know she was upset at the time, and we talked about it, and thought that we were OK, but maybe not. Thing is, I've also tried to talk to her about it since, in case it was still bothering her and that was the issue, but she tells me that she's OK with it now and everything is fine.
Not much else I can think of to do. I'll see what happens on the medical front first. After all, if the results are bad, all of this will just seem completely and utterly idiotic by comparison. And, even if it's fine, she'll be worrying about it until she gets the results and so now is not the best time to bring this up.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Evening everyone,
Just catching up as not been around all weekend.
Angelic - So sorry to hear about OH being an idiot, hope you both manage to sort things out so that you are both happy - and well done for standing up for yourself! You sound like your doing a brilliant job with the finances, dont let his childish ways push you back down the 'debt road'.
Euro - I understand how you feel with regards to your friend. I have a handful of friends with whom i do feel i make all the effort with regards to seeing them. My 'best' friend lives three hours away and i cant remember the last time she came to see me. It costs me £60 a time to go and she never offers to come to me or even help out with the costs. I have limited the amount i speak to her now and spend more time with the people who can be bothered to make the effort with me.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Angelic - What an idiot your OH decided to be this weekend! Maybe the logical part of his brain was left on the pillow when he got up that morning?! lol. Does your OH have much input to the family finances? If not, maybe it's worth trying to get him a little more involved, so he sees the bigger picture etc and it should then open up his eyes to the real needs of the family, as opposed to his wants.
I've told him countless times to log on to online banking and check my accounts, cc's, he can check receipts if he wants but he says he's not bothered?! The one and only time I ever left him in charge of paying the bills, it didn't quite work outGreenbynature wrote: »Morning all

Choosing toys over family? !!!!!! is up with that? I think he'd have a heart attack if he knew how expensive it can be to live alone AND support your [STRIKE]abandoned[/STRIKE] children. I hope he sees sense soon, or you do
Best of luck.
