  • Morning all and hugs to Weskers and Angelic (and anyone else who wants or needs them).

I'm a bit annoyed with Capital One for misleading me. When I've been making my PaDs, a note comes up on the screen saying "your account is set up for direct debits. Please keep this in mind when making one off payments". Now I thought that this would mean they reduce or skip the directdebit for that month (I know some card issuers do this). But NO!!!! Could have been worse, I suppose - I had the money there for them to take!

    £14.99 to capital one
Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP
(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)
  • Good Morning all,

Just £1.00 for me today please - having to spread out what I have left quite thinly until I get paid again :(

Quick question - if I am expecting my Child Benefit and carers allowance on Monday, will it go in Friday as its a Bank Holiday?

Angelic - Hope your little man is better soon.
    Moving on up :o SPC #382 ~ £40 banked
    12k in 2016 #15. £541.91/£3000

Grrrrr, I really, really, really, really, really wish that people wouldn't keep telling me they're going to come for a visit and then tell me a couple weeks later that they can't afford it. Which I wouldn't have a problem with if it wasn't the same excuse as they have used everytime.

Couldn't afford last year as holiday to Vegas, then couldn't afford after that because they then booked a skiing holiday, and now they've booked to go to Florida (this is the reason cited for not being able to afford a visit). They'll never come for a visit, I know it and they know it, yet they're always telling me that they will. What's the point? I know there'll be another holiday after Florida.

I'd much prefer them to be honest from the start instead of repeatedly telling me that they're 'really, really, really, really, really sorry'!

I am going to let this person know that I'd rather they didn't make promises they can't keep, as I get my hopes up everytime and am then left disappointed and upset when I'm cancelled on again.

But, waiting to calm down first, and this person is also waiting on some medical results. I don't want to say anything until I know how the land lies with their health.

I just miss my friends. :(
