  • I wasn't aware that being ridiculous was gender specific :D .
I do suspect it's more of an age thing than a gender thing. Or maybe not age but maturity. Although maturity and age usually go together it doesn't always follow. I have been a bit of a gadget person down the years but I just grew out of it I guess. Probably felt deprived of toys when I was a kid or something.
I own up to being ridiculous sometimes. It makes life worth living :) . I would want a better reason than that to walk out on family though.

True, but it is gender specific on this occassion :p:p I did make sure to apologise to any blokes on here though! I guess it does keep life interesting, if frustrating.

I do still have 2 other cats, one of them being his brother who is missing him :(
I've gone from having 5 cats to only 2 within 8 months as i lost 2 within a couple of months of each other last year, one from old age and the other from kidney disease. The place is starting to feel rather empty without them :(

I'm glad you still have two, hope you're getting some comfort from them. Sorry his brother is missing him. :( That's rough losing three cats so quickly Wesker. Do you think you will get more?

Don't worry about it. I've been called worse than ridiculous at times - and occasionally deserved it :) .
What I would like to know is what has happened to the incredible shrinking PADs lately? I guess everyone else is as skint as me? I've been earning quite well lately but there are some extra outgoings so it's been tricky. I've been keeping PADs at a minimum in an effort to avoid using credit of any kind. I may have to though. Unfortunately my half yearly service charge bill for my flat, a largish outlay to move my business stuff, and some money to do a bit of redecorating for part of my neighbour's flat (to which I caused a bit of water damage), have all come at once. Unfortunately I need a new water tank for work to store purified water because my current one won't get through the doorway. I already knew about this. On top of the service charges there is about £600 - £700 of one off outlay as well as finding a month in advance for the work unit rent. So although I'm covering it pretty well, I may just have to dip in to some credit to cover the remainder. It's not the disaster that it sounds because I can sell my current tank second hand and maybe get £50 on that plus I'm owed a lot of money by customers - much of which is pending (hopefully). I may just be able to squeeze through without any borrowings but I rate it as unlikely.
I hate this feeling of always being on the brink - of what I'm not sure.
    My mantra has become
"Today is the tomorrow that I worried about yesterday".
  • I haven't had any extra outgoings, except I've been out at least twice more than planned in my monthly budget (and I forgot to budget for a wedding, oops) and I wanted to get that first cc paid off so I skinted myself earlier in the month doing so. I haven't even found any coins on the floor to put in my pot!

I'm not planning on getting anymore at the moment. The 2 i have are 11 and 13 and dont think it would be fair on them. Then again if a stray walked in the door and they accepted it i wouldnt turn it away ;)
