It's OK, don't worry. I forget stuff all the time, or get it mixed up. We all do.
Well, OH was going to try and get the day off, so he is trying. It's also occurred to me that not all of this is a reaction to the change in plans. The last day of his contract was yesterday, and still no new one signed. And, he had a bad day at work yesterday too, so I think I am also bearing the brunt of his bad mood due to that, and the stress he's under with the contract thing. I know he's worried about that, and about how it upsets me, and what we will do if it all falls through (hell, even my colleagues are worried because they know if he loses his job, we're both going back to the UK as cannot afford to live here on just my wage).
So, have found some more patience and just sent him a nice text that will hopefully cheer him up a little.

Euro, I'm sure it's just the contract thing... sounds like the worry/stress of it is manifesting itself towards you as it tends to do, aiming itself at the wrong people.
Instead of joining the gym/sw I've been looking at this and am for some reason tempted to try it!! https://www.britmilfit.com/Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I think so too. It's not fair, but we all do it.
Apparantly, the HR manager is not in today. He said he spoke to his manager and that he is now having a cider. No clue though, if the talk with the manager was a good or bad one or, if he's having a cider in his lunch break to relax, or if it's commiserations!
I wish they would pull their finger out. Their decision has a knock on effect on so many others. I know it's their choice to make, but if they aren't going to renew, letting us know a month ago would've given us time to prepare.
(EDIT: Am looking on Monster Board at jobs in Eastbourne and Kent etc. Just to get an idea in case it all goes t'ts up!)
Oh and that britmilfit thing looks really hard! I think I would enjoy it more than the gym though. I HATE the gym. Dull, dull, dull!February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Unfortunately not. His contract here ran out yesterday so the Dutch firm, in theory, no longer have any responsibility to him. However, as he was always on 'secondment' from the UK firm, he should also, theoretically, still be on a permanent UK contract. This would most likely involve us moving to Newcastle though, which neither of us want to do.
Although, they have already approved his expense request form for the backdated commuter travel tickets. So, he should still, at the very least, receive €1700 net in the next week or so, plus his monthly wages on either Friday, or Monday.
Monster Board was quite depressing. The few jobs I did find were half my current salary! But, that was Eastbourne and Oprington/Bromley way. Hopefully London has more available, with a better wage.
If it goes t'ts up, then we'll both have our monthly wages, his 1700, his unused holiday days, my unsued holiday days and my holiday allowance (another months salary). And, we would be able to stay with either my parents or one of my brothers/sisters in the short term, until we both found new jobs. No idea how we'd cope if we had to go to Newcastle though or if the UK company is under obligation to help 'reintegrate' him into the UK? Mmmmm.
God, I'm preparing myself for coming home to hear the worst, when it's probably all still fine. I dunno though, I have that unexplainable feeling in my stomach that says somethings gone wrong.February wins: Theatre tickets0
