Anyone else have a friend, partner or family member who isn't great with social situations? Particularly if the plans change slightly no long before an event?
I'm trying really hard to be supportive and understand, but it's really hard for me. The things that freak him out, I wouldn't even bat an eyelid at, so I find it sooo hard to understand his viewpoint until he calms down enough to explain it properly and even then.....if I'm honest, I don't get it 100%.
Anyone have experience with this?February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Just another £1 to Barclaycard today.
Still applying for jobs, still getting rejections.
Euro my OH gets very nervous and worried before big family events (on my side) because he's an only child and not used to big families. Usually he just comes across as snappish and insists he doesn't want to go when he really does but is scared about it.
I think because I'm also a worrier, I find it a bit easier to understand but it's still difficult. Sometimes it feels like he wants to ruin my day as well because he's feeling worried and upset.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Hi all
COMP - I can only agree with everyone else on here It's Your Day so you do what makes you and your OH happy, forget the rest of the crap. I also agree with Paul - if you don't say anything it will build up inside you and might come out very badly - I know cos that's what I'm like I bottle things up and then the poor unfortunate gets it!
Paul I definitely think you should write a book of your lilfe it sounds fascinating!!;)
Great total yesterday :T
Pad today is £2.20 tin, 9p jar, £5 OH and £3 egg (I only owe £81 on it now :j)

Ah, didn't go to Germany this weekend. It's not until around 20th May, I think.
But.....my folks were here for a visit this weekend, which I enjoyed immensely. I think you just got the two mixed up.
Anyway, they came over as part of a group coach excursion. So I joined them on their day trip on Sunday to Volendam and Amsterdam. I've never been to Volendam before. It's tiny! But very, very pretty. It's a little harbour, except there was a boat race on this weekend so there were masses of beautiful, old style, boats in the harbour and they set off not long before we left.
Amsterdam was...Amsterdam. And I had to do a bus tour with my folks, as it's what they wanted to do. Did give me a chance to point out some of the places I have been to though, which is nice.
This Friday is Jeff Dunham (just in case me mentioning it 50 times already is not enough! hehe). I want a 'Peanut' puppet! Or a t-shirt or something and I wanna meet Jeff and get him to sign something.
hahahaha, I'm a big ol' geek and proud of it!
Hayfever's going nuts at the moment! It's always worse at the start of the season for me. I think it must be some or one of the flowers that blooms around now. I'd better check out the implications of using the eye drops more than recommended on the pack before I use anymore! lol
I miss my contact lenses. They always seemed to offer some protection from the pollen, like a barrier. Same with cutting onions.
I'm rambling, sorry.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -

This is it! Sometimes I feel like I'm the one who gets 'punished' because he can't/won't deal with a situation as it's me who has to listen to the ranting, put up with the snappy behaviour at what should be happy and enjoyable events, or worse, he refuses to go entirely.February wins: Theatre tickets0
