Can these bags of milk be frozen? I buy my milk in bulk and freeze it cos we go through loads everyday.
When I tried them out, it said they could be frozen. I bought 4, and put 3 in the freezer. 2 of them burst and dribbled into the drawer below ... freezing as it went ... total disaster, never bought them again.
Also I found it was difficult to fit the bag in the jug, put the lid on and pierce it in the correct place first time, which resulted in leaks.
I'll stick to my 2 x 4 litre bottles for £1.50 from Farm Foods thank you! We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Bags are recyclable.... you can do it at larger sainsburys stores.
I find the jug/bags really easy to use. My 5 year old daughter can do it without spillage or leaks!
Downside is the price tho.2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
this is how we've always been getting our milk over in Canada! Really does cut down on waste, and it's always cheaper than buying milk in cartons! Glad to see they've caught on in the UK0

In April sometime, Sainsbury's are going to be giving the jugs away to customers (an advance warning!). Cant remember the exact date at the moment though!0

They are not giving the jugs away..but allowing customers who brought the old style jugs to replace them FOC for the new style jug which is easier to use.0

Wish that was the case here, whenever something more environmentally friendly comes out it tends to be more expensive which puts people off.....0 -
Lol after all, it's only Scotland, we're not really part of Britain or worth mentioning... etc lol rant... etc...
I will try to find out which Scottish stores are stocking them, tho
Well you keep sayinhg you want to be independant .........................
P.S. Can you please take your scottish PM that tries to misrule England and stash him in Sainsbury's where this milk would be please. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I think you mean the Scottish First Minister....
Not everyone wants independence but there is a genric lack of Scotland being mentioned when it comes to English ideas. For example take the latest David Dimbleby programme Seven Ages of Britain it's all been about England apart from the 2 mins in the first programme when he dared to go North of the border...0 -

Maybe she means Gordon Brown.
Anyway, things aren't that bad as they used to, we now get around four weather symbols on the national weather map - a change from when Scotlands weather was split into "highlands" and "central".
That said, I wonder if Scottish independence would result in websites such as www.google.co.sc and www.google.co.en free of page footers like:
*England and Wales only
Theres nothing like reading an offer or event and seeing those four words lol£2 Savers Club 2014 #74 - £4840 -

My mistake as she was talking about independence i assumed she was talking about Alex Salmond :rotfl:
As for Gordon Brown well i'd be happy for him to disappear up a milk aisle...;)
Our town even made it onto the weather map a few weeks ago we were gobsmacked...(i may be english but i swear the scottish ancestry is coming out in me)
