I get my milk in Tesco at 65p/2L so this is too expensive for me :D plus driving 70 miles to my nearest Sainsburys is not very green.

Agree, WON'T be buying any at this price.

I also get the Creamfields 0.75% fat from Tesco at 65p for 2 litres.

We also have fully skimmed - this comes from Iceland at £1 for 4 pints.

If I want "true" semi-skimmed and/or full cream then it's off to Farm Foods - both 75p for 2 litres

I wonder if it's really worth swapping a recyclable bottle for a non-recyclable bag.

The bag is recyclable according to the JUGIT™ website
pop the empty milk bag into your recycling bin

The milk containers are recyclable but are these bags? I'm guessing not.
Can these bags of milk be frozen? I buy my milk in bulk and freeze it cos we go through loads everyday.

I will be giving this one a miss too, I either buy my milk from Iceland (4 Pints for £1, or Londis 2 x 4 Pints for £2.25. I recycle the plastic bottles too.

I would buy this milk in a bag if it was cheaper

My goodness. I moved to Canada in 1999 (back now) and milk in bags was the norm way back then. We do like to copy a good idea and tout it as our own don't we (supermarkets, that is - not the posters on here).

Any similarity between those crappy meerkat ads and the Geico ones in North America 10 years ago is obviously coincidental.....

Still, a good price for milk I guess.

Was born in Canada in '67 and we had them back then.

You work for Sainsburys too? A colleague told me once they get all the jugs in, we get one each, I think the milk may be a voucher tho to avoid loads of 'staff milk' lying through the back unclaimed.

They're on the shelves for customers to buy just now, but I'm gonna hold out and wait for my freebie lol
I work for Sainsburys too and can confirm that you do get a voucher - although by the time our section went to get them they had all gone. The bags appear to be quite strong as a member of staff drop kicked one and it didn't split :rotfl:

    http://www.jugit.co.uk/faqs.asp?faq_id=14

& the bags can be frozen

An article in the paper last week said the bags would withstand 14 or 16 stone.

Just don't put it in the same bag as a Toblerone...

Had a look in my Sainsburys this morning, but unless I missed it, they aren't stocking it. I'll stick with my Sainsburys organic milk (same price) for now.

I know they say the packaging is recyclable, but does anyone know what it's classed as - plastics (which number?), tetra-pak or something else? Every council has different rules on what they'll take, so it's not guaranteed recyclable for everyone.
