    Good morning everyone,

    :smileyhea
and especially HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all of us, who are mothers, step mothers, stand in mothers, grandmothers, what ever you like kind of mothers, even Dad's who have to be mothers.! (think I've got it covered now ) Hope you all have a lovely day. :happylove

Well the sun is shining yet again, long may it continue. I got all my washing done and dried outside, its ironed and put away, ready to start the week afresh. I managed to list 8 dresses and skirts on ebay yesterday, and will do some more tomorrow when I get home from work. Finished sewing up and putting buttons on a cardigan for my grandaughter, now grandson number 1, has decided he wants something knitting so that's my next project. :kisses3: It gives me great pleasure to knit for them, and they seem to like getting things to wear. My mother has still got a cardigan which I knitted for her 26 years ago, and its still like new, I sewed some pearls on it and they are all still intact.!!:D

Seeing as I had a productive day yesterday, I am going to spend the day with my grandchildren, so nothing will get done today. :T

    Have a good day everyone.

morning everyone, sun shining here too, washing in almost ready to go out on line. No plans today (no change there then) darling grandson is here 7yrs old, staying while mum recovers from bladder surgery, so lots of time with him. xxxx Carers are here getting OH out of bed and ready for day.
I think its coffee time. I am also going to look at opening an account with those pots. they suit my saving type , thanks for the details.

  • Hi I think we may qualify and wouldn't mind joining your band of merry men & women if we can ?!

We are 52 and 55 respectively and have been paying back CCCS for 5 years and still have some way to go :(. We would like to have it all paid off within 2 more years and then we can maybe start to save. We both work full time - hubby is not well paid at all but works extremely hard. My job is very stressul and I am constanly bullied. I also have two joint conditions which have got worse over the years but my workload keeps increasing but I have said that I will stay on until we clear the debts. :(

We have not told family or friends about our position. I constantly worry about it all :o and I do sometimes feel envious of other people but .........

We have sold stuff on ebay and would love to try and sell more if we could come up with a good idea and a supplier (cheap of course!).

So it would be nice to join you all?
  • Welcome, of course you can join us

Elsie will no doubt be along shortly and she will give you a number.

Its good to be able to hear from people like yourselves who are a good way along the road, gives us latestarters (around 30 years too late) hope that it can be done.

Going to recline on the sofa again to be looked after by adoring DS and DD...............

  • Hello everyone.

New to this site. Hope I'm filling this in correctly.

Would like to join your merry band, you all seem so friendly.

I have listed our "problem" on the debt-free wannabe site. But here is the shortened version.
DH given up work due to ill health. Lots of debt. Trying to remortgage to pay back over next 9 years (retirement age) but having problems, got turned down on credit check. Can't decide whether to go to another company for remortgage or apply for DMP. The cost for remortgage and DMP would be nearly the same each month.

    Hi and welcome....:hello:

The more the merrier, and your number is 14. :T We are a very small group, but growing daily. As PDD says its nice to hear from people who have been doing their DMP for a few years. It's hard sometimes isn't it, but I console myself that it won't be forever. ;) So if you've got any tips or advice then let us have it.!! By the way, I think the majority have kept it from family and friends,:o so I think that is why this thread is so important to us all. :D
