I think you should apply for a job at the Principality Building Society, purely on a commission basis. I am sure that you must have increased their members.:T:T

I have just listed 8 items on ebay, and now am bored with that so I will leave the other things for Monday, hope I manage to sell some things and may increase my savings a bit.

I have enjoyed reading this thread, dont know if I qualify for membership, I'm 60, OH is 59 he had to retire early thru ill health and I became sole earner. His health got worse, spent £000's on eqipment and adaptations for him and used loans ccs etc to fund them. Thought it would be ok as time to pay back before retirement.... wrong...... my health failed and I had to retire early too and we have struggled from then on to keep afloat. Not on official dmp but have managed to get debts mountain down to 12000 no one in family knows about it as I'm too embarrassed to confess. OH doesnt know either as it would wound him so, since it was all incurred to help him, so I soldier on (brave soul lol) and could do with company .

    Hi mrsinvisible.

You are more than welcome to join us and you are our lucky number 13. ( We don't do unlucky ). It sounds as if you have had more than your share of bad luck, and it must be hard for you to deal with all the money worries on your own, so if you need to let off steam anytime, then we are here. Quite a few of us oldies havn't told our families, as you say its embarrassment, but we are all dealing with our debts.

Just making tea, but will be back later.

  • Principality e-Saver account now opened - frustratingly I can see the 'pots' option, but until my initial deposit transfer shows I can't 'play' with any of the settings as they are all currently greyed out, ie not available to use until funds are in the account:mad:

PDD - I am hoping this little account will revolutionise my money management techniques;):rotfl:

On a separate note - I am not on a DMP (am currently coping with paying off our debts ok) - but wondered if you can go on a DMP if you have equity in your property.

    Hiya nanna

Glad to see you again. :j I know what you mean about getting down, it sometimes just takes one small thing, and everything seems an even more uphill struggle.:( But that is what I find this board is useful for. I was a bit depressed with everything a couple of weeks ago, this debt busting is a bu@@er sometimes, but I posted on here, and got some great replies and support.:T When you don't tell family and friends, like we havn't done, there wasn't anywhere else to go so the support was much appreciated.:A
So yell at us if you like and I'm sure we'll soon have you cheered up....its only money or the lack of it that gets us down. :rotfl:.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

PA.. If opening one account revolutionizes money management techniques......then I'm gonna open a dozen.......I'll be loaded then.!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I am sure that I have read on the boards, other folks who have equity in their properties and are on a DMP.....have you asked that on the DMP thread, I feel sure you will get your answer there.

Under the icons at the side it says (more)....click onto that and it brings up a complete page of icons.

Thanks for the info, will send PA a message,

The girls at work are surprised that I can use a computer, they were even more shocked when they found out that I could send a text. !!! I am sure that they think that if you are over a certain age, you can't cope with technology.!!

(Still can't set the video up though, but don't tell anyone):o
