Thats a long time to wait, I think another couple of members are with CCCS, so they might be able to confirm that. What do they do with all that money for almost a week,.!!!:(

that's right about CCCS
got OH's statement from caring sharing bank that we own a great big chunk of Lloyds, on a CCCS payment of £116.25 they charged us £107.58 in interest, this is after they reduced interest to a managable level. How do they sleep??More than Two Years in

Hi Elsie
No I don't do the Grocery Challenge but until the last couple of weeks I have been doing the weekly menus. I've discovered that if I do my shopping monthly with Sainsburys its free delivery if you spend over £100 and have it delivered Tues, Wed or Thurs but then its a matter of making whats delivered go as far as possible. I'm getting ever so good at it and OH loves things like bubble and squeek and eggy bread type meals which makes what I buy stretch that bit further.
When I came to do my shop last week I still had a cupboard full of tinned stuff (which means I now have a nice emergency stock in)
Moneysaving seems to be more second nature now and OH actually tries to be as frugal as possible these days. He actually treated me to a Mcdonalds burger the other day because they were only £1 whereas in the old days we would have had the full price meal (and probably left half of it) and then sweets bought at the cinema (now we sneak them in)
Shame its taken us all these years to learn these things
Anyway I better go and make OHs tea. He's just phoned to say he is nearly home
TTFN

As PDD says that is right - from what I read they take the money on 1st (up to the 10th I believe) and pay it on 25th, any interest earned during that time goes towards their running costs, which I have no problem with as they have been absolutely wonderful!:)
Just check our bank account and I still have money in it!!!!!! And I don't get paid until next week! :rotfl: That hasn't happened since I can't remember when!
Had a lovely drive to Poole and back today as I was working there, shame I was stuck in an office with no windows!
Cuddlymarm - love the thought of bubble and squeak!:j haven't had that for years!
Elsie - I watched that programme last night as well - will be interesting to see what the outcome of that is tonight.
Now I need to go and see if the last bit of wine in the bottle will fill my glass - I've been ever so sparing with it! Not a bit like me!! I'll have to see if there are any decent offers in the shops I go in! I work for that great big supermarket that people sometimes talk about - does mean I can get discount though, so 3 for £10 means £9
If I don't come on a gain tonight, I'll catch up on Friday as I'm on an overnight due to working in Crawley tomorrow and Friday - DH can have a peaceful night tomorrow!!
Catch you soon, xxLBM Jan 2010
