im upset cos everyday i have to battle to try to be normal, to prove to people including my family that im not some waste of space! because i have people telling me on a daily basis they wish i would be killed all because i am different, because i cant walk down the street without being spat at! and then i come on a disability forum hoping someone will understand and wont laugh at me or make me feel any worse than i already feel! THAT is why i am upset!

Nobody deseves to be spat at, nobody should have to go through life been told they aren't wanted. But i don't know you, i haven't judged you. So don't think i/we are like the people who are been horrible to you.

You came into the forum like a pair of size 12 boots and a sledgehammer. YOU pre-judged us, we didn't pre-judge you.

You've obviously got your guard up and won't let people get close to you for fear of them hurting you, and if what you say is true, i don't blame you.

Give us a chance and you might make some good virtual friends!

the thing is i DID try to give you lot a chance, but alot of yours and other people comments came accross as very condecending! i didnt nit pick at anyone i didnt imply anything about anyone, you even refered to me as pat butcher! and others made me out to be a fraud with comments about how i manage in pubs or on buses or aeroplanes!

Don't know if this would help, but sometimes when I can't sit in the seat (bad back) I just sit on the floor. I like to go to the theatre and the seats are not designed for comfort (in my humble). I wait till the lights go down then just sit next to the seat or on the step, leaning on the wall. Getting back up is 'interesting' but what the heck I've seen the play by then.
