Meh. I know have two GP referals. One to a small ops clinic to happen at some point in another lifetime and one to a plastic surgeon which may take 18 months or so, however the or so is more likely. Meh. Why is nothing ever straight forward?

E-bay tat finishes late this afternoon and has already topped £50. Kinda hoping it reaches £100 but I guess thats more than a little unlikely.

OH still has manflu but is bravely soldiering on. And if you believe that then gullible is your midle name. OH can bravely soldier between the kettle, his fags and the TV remote. Anything else is far too challenging.

Today is parents evening so plans for today will involve stashing all the stuff that makes school lived in. Spent yesterday washing grubby handprints off corridor walls. Have to tackle doors and windows today. SHould keep me busy for quite some time. On the positive side because there are people everywhere the only places the cleaners will be able to access are offices and loos so once they're done the laydees what do will be able to lounge about reading trashy magazines and drinking coffee.... or at least thats what they're hoping I'll let them do. The reality will be somewhat different.

you know those 'below stairs' checks are REALLY important don't you? Would your daughters really cope if their mum wasn't there? And it is something we adult females have to role model too for younger girl children in the family.

    sorry to be blunt

Having been in the situation, at a very young age, of needing several levels of treatment I tend to get on my hobby horse about this one. Always have a check up inspite of how you might feel.
Ok, off to lurkdom again now.

and so on to cheerier thoughts. E-bay sales finished last night a smidgen short of £100. Only have 5 outstanding payers which means I have to package up everything else. No prizes for guessing what this mornings fun will be.

Spent a large chunk of yesterday afternoon gutting the bathroom. Removed everything that wasn't bolted in place. Cleaned what was left and then put back only those items essential to a functional bathroom. DD2 is most upset that we no longer have an entire farm on the side of the bath. Even managed to find a couple of My Little Ponies despite the conviction that I'd turfed them out aeons ago. This time I most definately have.

Did the first phase of parents evening. DD1s new teacher surprised me. Rather than being all doom and gloom he positively raved about her. If she can get her head around spelling or at least become faster using her dictionary or even more organised and figure out what words she'll need before she starts a sentence then she'll improve even faster. She's ecstatic. Now just have to find a way for her to achieve this. She was allowed to do last weeks speling test alongside her classmates and scored 7 / 10 on words of 12 of more letters which considering she struggles to get 5 / 10 when the Senco issues lists of four and five letter words is even more surprising. Shes a very happy kid.

Equally surprisingly since OHs most recent wobbly he's been alcohol free. Having ben here several times before I'm not expecting miracles but he has been a much nicer person. Not entirely sure he'll see it that way but I've felt a lot happier.
