The wonderful man in my life said yes or at least he conceeded that no wasn't an option providing it is just the one.
Have spent the afternoon baking a birthday cake as a surprise for someone at shooting who turned 60 today and is trying to keep it really really quiet. One of his friends on the other hand has e-mailed everyone to inform them that as a club we're throwing a surprise birthday bash for him. The DDs have gone to town with the cake decorations. not an inch of uncovered cake remains. The thing is under seige from hundreds and thousnadds and a gazillion shiny silver balls. They've had loads of fun.
V. tempted to put Pjs on and slob in front of the fire with a book but remebered just in time that Mr Ocado will be paying us a visit. Will be delaying the PJs until after hes departed.
Have had a relatively busy day and listed a whole ten items on Amazon, written two DooYoos and done lots of mindnumbingly pointless surveys on all manner of truly ridiculous things. Why is it that the food surveys never have a "Even if the only food stuff available on planet earth was that or dog food I'd go for dog food every time" option.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

I had one once that asked how many days I have had off work due to hangovers. My answer is none.....but that wasn't an option on the survey, you HAD to say that you had had at least one day off work due to not being able to handle your drink.
Several weeks later, and lo and behold there was a report in the news saying how time off work due to being hungover was on the increase......quoting "a report commissioned by........." and "a survey carried out by........." obviously highlighting the binge drinking culture amongst everyone who goes out to work!
If you want to get the answers you want, take out the option for the respondant to give the answers you don't want!
Ah well, as long as they give me my points/10p/entries into a prize draw that no one ever wins anyway, I suppose I'm happy.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Yep that happened to me in a survey about throwing sickies. In answer to the question "How many days off sick have you had in a year" there was no option for zero (like moi) the closest was 1-5 days. I've not had a day off sick in three yearsStart Date: 27/11/2010

Was rudely awakend at 5am by DD2 who popped in to ask if it was time to get up. Sent her back to bed. Five minutes later she reappeared to see if it was time now. Bleugh. Sent her downstairs to watch a DVD but couldn't get back to sleep. Got a bit too engrossed in a novel and then realised how late it was. Ran round like a mad woman doing everything that neded doing only just making it to the shooting ground for 7:30am. Was expecting rain so togged up to the eyballs in foul weather gear and spent the morning peeling off layers like a human onion but still got home a bit too sweaty for my liking. Both DDs had a great time. DD1 got half the score of the top adult which is truly most excellent and DD2 managed to find a boggy patch to investigate which sucked off her wellies leaving her with very wet socks. They're now recuperating in front of the TV.
Had lots of plans for today but don't seem to have achieved anything. Have shed loads to list on flea-bay but will be doing that after the little darlings have gone to bed otherwise I can't concentrate and will no doubt screw up royally with the endless muuums and demands for random things. Hoping that they'll both be in bed by 6pm which should leave me plenty of time to get lots of things done.
Need to update my spending diary, have neglected it since the rollercoaster of dog related events commenced. Its not going to be pretty reading but it will be prettier than the eyewateringly large credit card bill which arrived yesterday with all my car repairs on and OHs friends car related things and which exceeds two months salary. Fortunately his cheque finally turned up earlier in the week.
Bit late in the day but I'm off in search of lunch, can't wait until dinner so am planning to chow on a plate of crackers liberally slathered in artery clogging real manly butter with enormous chunks of extremely tasty calorie laden cheese perched on top.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
I have run out of steam. I've listed 13 lots on flea-bay totalling over 50 items all of which I'll be glad to see the back of. Have two book reviews to write on DooYoo and then I'm going to grab an early night in the hopes I wake up feeling vaguely human as its going to be a very very long week. Somehow the day to day elements of life seem twice as hard when OH is away although realistically the only physical difference is that I need to cook dinner for the DDs each day. Somehow life seems to be far more exhausting. Possibly because I make the most of staying up till midnight reading which results in significantly less sleep than I need but theres something very nice about being able to do my own thing because I feel like it and not have to turn the light out at 9pm because OH is tired.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

By the time shes ready to leave mum she'll be roughly the size of a Labrador eventually ending up looking remarkably like this.
Aw Moo am so jealous have always wanted a Newf - am still working on the house and Land Rover to put one in though guess you're ahead in that department
Sorry to hear about the departure of hairball 2 but not much else you could do in the circs.

Morning all! Its gloriously sunny outside which should mean I can spend the day in the garden avoiding the housework. Chez Moo looks like a bomb has hit although once I relocate the recycling to the various recycling bins and moved the pile of stuff I listed on E-bayfrom the middle of the floor it won't be too bad. Could do with putting some laundry away, completely forgot to start DD1s homework which involves moon gazing over a 6 day period and still have to update my spending diary before I start forgetting what I spent where.
Rosa - I didn't exactly go out of my way to find the biggest hariest dog I possibly could but I seem to have managed it quite well. Now wondering if the suspension on the mobile shoe box can handle the weight of two enormous dogs in the back, not that I'd get them both in the boot as hairball no. 1 already fills that. Still v. v. v. excited which is always a good thing
Plans for today should involve housework, bill paying, mucho tidying and a spot of hedge trimming as well as at least one trip to the tip to dispose of some rubble but no doubt I'll just veg around enjoying the peace and tripping over huge things destined for E-bay which I forgot to list yesterday.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
It started raining just as I got in from work so I've done other things instead including renewing my car insurance for significantly less than I was expecting. After cashback a fully comp policy has set me back £110 with all the extras thrown in and the smallest excess I could get my hands on. Most impressed. Fingers crossed it tracks if not it was still the cheapest quote by £20. One ridiculous company told me that my car was worth £525 and my excess for the year was £900 with 7 years claim free motoring discount applied. Oh how I laughed. I think not ridiculously overpriced motor insurance company.
Still have to update my spending diary but am up to date with all the other paperwork and have managed to wash up and do two loads of laundry too.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Finally updated the spending diary, looks remarkably good but this won't last. The knocking noise that co-incides with my car going round corners is getting worse with each passing day. Hopefully the garage will be able to sort it on friday.
Recieved a 500 points voucher off a £30 shop at Tesco clothing on-line. Won't be using it. Its single use and does say its exclusive to Tesco credit card holders but theres nothing in the Ts and Cs requiring you to pay by Tesco credit card nor is it named. PM me if you can use it. Note there is a £3.95 delivery charge but theres also an extra 20% off until Wednesday and you can get cashback via Quidco too.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
