Further financial faux pas and even more disasterous decisions

I ebayed my little socks of for two sodding hours. Was soooo very bored by the end of it. Still have more stuff to go but had lost the will to live by 9pm having listed 18 items. Couldn't run an e-bay shop, that would bemy idea of hell. Rather bizarely I had two bids before I'd finished and questions about postage to Russia despite putting no international postage. I now have the fun job of wrapping everything up at the end of next week to look forward to. Oh joy! Must start saving bubble wrap from parcels at school.
Cheri - I can't dilute the inedible mutant tomato paste with yoghurt as DD1 then can't eat it although she can't eat it as it is either. May try it as the basis for a curry as suggested or liven up a lasagne but will only make small portions of anything just to be on the safe side.
OH caked the roof of the log store in tar in the hopes that the wind dies down enough to felt it today. After that we can start filling it with elm logs.
Plans for today involve cramming as much tree debris as possible into wheelie bins ready for collection tomorrow. Also need to do some laundry and tidy the kitchen and then start vacuuming. That'll give me something to look forward to then!Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
One more item added to flea-bay as a way of neutralising the purchasing I did whilst responding to questions. Winging its way to me is a jam funnel which should reduce the amount of mess the DDs make. Rather bargaintastically this comes with a stsh of jam jars and country market approved lids plus a whole heap of Lakeland seals and labels and wot not in seled packaging which I should be able to bung back on E-bay to cover what I've paid for the funnel which was still cheaper than anywhere else. You've got to love lazy listers!
Spent yesterday morning putting the finishing touches to OHs log store which is now watertight with lighting. He and the DDs then spent the evening attempting to fill it with the logs we generated over the weekend although the humungous pile looks rather pathetic in the back corner. Its most definately spacious.
Washed the floors yesterday although its already impossible to tell. OH washed up and loaded the dishwasher but the kitchen is still a tip. We're clearly far too messy to have a tidy house no matter how much effort goes in. At least DD2s room is always immaculate even if she has demoted her dolls house to shoe storage.
In rather more bizarre news this week is Project Zero Week, a school based eco week with an interschool competition to reduce energy usage. My collegues are taking this very seriously indeed. So seriously in fact that its rather too easy to trip up over some small child in the v. dark corridors. Fortunately its a warm bright week which is just as well because we got to 5pm yesterday before anyone was brave enough to turn a light on. Almost every electrical appliance has been turned off at the mains which includes the hand driers and the printers and the kettles. Schools eco team are taking this just a bit too seriously. Mind you it made my job a lot easier. Tis so much quicker to vacuum when you can't see the bits or the carpet. It does make you a bit jumpy though. Wandering round the building at night on your own you're used to a cetain level of background noise from printers and photocopiers and lights. Take all that away and echoes become louder, autoclosers on fire doors take longer and the whoosh they make when finally sealing makes it feel like someone else is in the building when you know they are most definately not. Tis easy to see how people convince themselves a building is haunted.
Plans for today involve running round like a loon trying to get tons done before returning to school for road safety classes. At least thats bound to be more fun than yesterdays child protection briefing.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Discovered this morning that OH is a terrorist. It came as an equally big shock to him. Under the new and improved guilty until proven innocent method of criminal investigation we now have to figure out how he came to have traces of a peroxide based explosive on his equipment. Most helpfully the people who detected this have informed him that people who have been to hairdressers regularly fail the same explosives detection test. Clearly its v. sophisticated then. On the brightside he'll be home v. early today on account of how he did not pass go and has not been allowed to get as far as going to work.
Wonder what other fun filled things are in store today.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

holy cow about OH. What a stupid test if it can't tell whether you have mixed hair dye or explosives!
Well done on the ebay listing. I managed 4 items in 2 days on the local equivalent. It doesn't even take as long on this site either, so I feel your pain!

Woke up this morning looking like a relative of the elephant man. Have horrific tooth ache, an abcess the size of a watermelon and am unable to get an appointment until late tomorrow. Have abandoned eating (all clouds have a silver lining and all that) since even chowing porridge feels like the inside of my mouth is being attacked by an army of midgets wielding red hot pokers. Have shooting pains going from my jaw to my eyeball and am struggling to stay awake. Whether thats because of a mahoosive infection or a side result of eating pain killers like sweeties is up for debate.

Its official. I clearly look as awful as I feel since a man has noticed this without being prompted. For an man to notice anything out of the ordinary is a remarkable occurance and doubly so when that man happens to be your boss who takes one look at you and sends you home.... unfortunately I'd already been at work for 3 and a half sodding hours by that point but even leaving early was a bonus..... I'd run out of Bonjela, not that it was making any difference at all but it tastes nice and even the slightly tingly feelig of it deciding to do something and then changing its mind made a bit of a change. Am now waiting for some horse tranquilisers to kick in before running round like a loon getting in washing, lighting fires and chucking together dinner for the DDs and OH in the 45 minute window between them starting to work and me flaking out in an incoherant heap on the sofa. At least tonights episode of American Hot Rod will be almost bearable.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
