Continuing the days fun and frolics we ran in the door early having skived off a teeny weeny bit before our official stampeeding out of the building time. Have v. concientiously signed my timesheet with our actual time of departure rather than that expected by the senior echalons of management.
We slapped the oven on, chucked a couple of pizzas in and then I ran round like a loony putting chickens to bed, shutting curtains, lighting fires and lobbing a rug in the washing machine (slobber chops had slobbered all over it in her sleep) whilst the DDs knocked up a batch of cakes for the remainder of the weeks lunches.
Whilst dinner was cooking we wandered round battering three shades of heeby jeebies out of some unsuspecting spiders with our improvised feather duster.... in this case a vileda supermop. The actual feather duster was spotted and retrieved from the jaws of the four legged fiend quite some time ago although no ones quite sure where it ended up. DD2 helpfully pointed out all the bits I'd missed so by the time the bleeper went off (the programmable one and not the ceiling mounted back up) the entire groundfloor of the house was cobweb free.
Dinner scoffed we then sat down at the PC and commence two hours of typing to throw together DD1s two week long project in two evenings. Have looked everywhere for the partial original and can only conclude its ended up overseas with OH or the dog ate it. Either is possible although my money is on the dog.
The holy terrors are now asleep and the children have quietened down too. Tis at this point I reveal my earlier brainwave and the very naughty thing I've done..... I've booked a cleaner for two hours tomorrow... shhhhh.... tis most decadent of me and given the imminent arrival of both Granny and OH entirely necessary.
Have managed to do everything I set out to do today with the exception of the sweeping which is bally good going although I'm totally kettled.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Boooh to cleaner. Its almost 10pm and I've just put the hob bits in bio powder to soak overnight. Am now looking around thinking must do that before the cleaner comes and that and that. At this rate there won't be much left for her to do. Mind you I bet she says otherwise!

Sleep well, safe in the knowledge that tomorrow you will be dusting before the cleaner arrives in case she thinks you are a ho!!!!
My sister used to clean for me when I was helping her to pay for a new sofa (she insisted - honest) and I used to spend 2 hours cleaning before she came so that she didnt think I was like my Mum who used to prefer reading to cleaning.

Have to get myself in gear and sort this place out.:o
With the cleaner on the way it certainly motivates you do get things started.

Morning all!
Children are away in the Land of Nod oblivious to the mayhem downstairs. Have already swept through downstairs (more revolting than I cared to imagine). Spotted more stuff stashed by OH behind sofas which has now been relocated to the rather overflowing shrine to land rover parts. Still keep finding more. I mean why do we have roof bars in the house that don't fit our cars? Have bunged another rug in the machine, went to sweep it but discovered the little darlings had obviusly dropped a fair amount of fire ash on it at some point. Still at least it'll be aseir to clean without it in the way.
Am now dealing with the cleaners pet hates, and she has sooo many of them.... no things on fridge doors No magnets, no memos, nada. Since our home functions on the writings on the fridge door this is only a temproray reprieve although I'm taking the demand as a fair indication that she intends to wipe down the fridge. Am finding the instruction to get rid of all the crap on the windowsills a tad harder to follow. Have been trying to do this ofr ages but keep being thwarted by OH which is why I need to magic up a home for a remote control car (ignored since built 3 years or so ago), a portable air compressor and a set of headlights... and thats just the extension. Will be totally kettled by the time she gets here but the agreement is she does two hours if she gets to boss me around as her skivvy for 2 hours. Apparently its the way things are goig to be. Can't help but wonder what I've let myself in for! Its not quite the way I imagined having a cleaner to be.
Hey ho. Off to grab breakfast then rinse the stuff I left soaking overnight and flip it over to do the otherside as its too big to fit in one go. Also need to empty the litter tray because that honks too. You'd swear the world was conspiring against me. I'm drowning in a sea of shoite. All of which brings me swiftly on to moos profound thought of the day :

sounds like your cleaner is a drill sergeant not a cleaner!
